As a salon owner, I feel it’s right to discuss something that’s has been widely discussed amongst the nail industry.

You may or may not have seen the recent announcement from TheGelBottle regarding reformulations to their products. Over the past few months, there has been growing concern amongst the nail technicians about unexpected lifting and changes in the product performance.

I have personally started noticing a change in the consistency in the BIAB, we were aware that TPO was being removed in line with new regulations as of last year. However we were not informed that HEMA has also been removed which has now been confirmed by TheGelBottle.

I have now made a decision to not rely solely on one brand or system as due to my own testing and experience I know that not every product suits every client.

Regulatory changes are completely understandable but the unclear communication surrounding reformation that directly impacts product performance has been frustrating.

With that in mind, please be assured:

• I will be using the best products to suit your nail type
• I will be further educating myself on products, nail types & application methods for each individual needs
• I will be trailing new methods & products to help each client have the best possible outcome.

As the year comes to a close, I just want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you for your trust, your support, and for allowing me to be part of your journey this year. Every conversation, every appointment, and every shared success has meant more to me than I can put into words. You are the reason I get to do what I love, and I never take that for granted.

Christmas is a time to slow down, reflect, and appreciate what truly matters. I know I don’t get to slow down much but my goodness I am so appreciative of you all. I was able to purchase and renovate our beautiful home this year so believe me not one of you goes un-noticed! I hope this season brings you precious moments with the people you love most just like mine has!
