PLEASE STOP ripping your nails off! I understand you’re trying to help, thinking it will speed up the treatment, but it does the opposite. It really damages your nails and creates a risk of subsequent enhancement lifting, which is entirely unnecessary. So please do us both a massive favour and let me take care of your nails – which includes removal and application so that you can enjoy them for weeks, not days 🙂

“My nails need a break from enhancements”

OK, let’s talk about this 🙂

I’ve heard this common misconception so many times, so let me clarify it for you 🙂

Many women think that nails need to breathe. Otherwise, they’ll get weaker. (It’s OK, I used to think that too before becoming a technician 😉 )

Nothing could be further from the truth. Your nails don’t breathe, so there’s no need to take a break from wearing gel nails.

In reality you can wear them all the time, ASSUMING that the application was made correctly, and there’s no lifting that may lead to infection or damage to the nail plate, that the products used are good quality, and your nail tech is qualified and follows health and safety rules.

Regular maintenance, such as infill or rebalance, is a must to keep your nails safe and healthy.

That’s all 🙂 No break from enhancements is needed unless you want it.
