☀️ A Summer Salon Update from Team V&V

It’s been a hot one – hope you’ve managed to stay cool - unless of course you love the heat!

For us at Team V&V, we’re glad to have our air conditioning because it’s been buzzing here thanks to your continued support and lots of new friends. We really are enjoying catching up with all your news and getting to know our new clients.

The demand for our services has been steadily increasing over the summer and we wanted to let you know what we’re doing to make sure we maintain the service levels that you need and expect as we continue to grow. That’s a long way round of saying our Team’s getting bigger!

So - first up, a huge shout-out to Jodi! Since starting back in December, she’s been absolutely flying. Due to popular demand, Jodi is expanding her hours and will be working extra Fridays starting next month! 🎉

Meet Our Newest Team Members

We are thrilled to welcome two brilliant new stylists to the V&V family. They are each working two days a week—read on to hear from them in their own words!

💇‍♀️ Karen (Mondays & Tuesdays)

"Hi everyone! I’ve been hairdressing since I was 16, and now, 30 years later, I still love it just as much. I always knew from a young age that this is what I wanted to do, and I’ve never looked back.

I particularly love highlighting and would describe myself as a bit of a classic cutter at heart. I also really enjoy blow-drying and creating those finished, polished looks. For me, one of the best things about the job is the social side—I’m naturally quite chatty and love getting to know you all, making you feel comfortable and happy with your hair when you leave.

Outside of work, I’m a mum, a wife, and a very proud dog mum! I love spending time with family and friends, and I also play social netball (though I should probably stress the word 'socially,' as I’m not exactly playing for England! 😂). I can't wait to meet you and help you feel your best!"

✨ Carly (Thursdays & Fridays)

"Hello! I started my beauty therapist training back in 2007, but my true passion was always hair.

I love being a hairdresser because it’s not just about hair—you become part of a family and share so many memories. Clients become friends, and you laugh and cry together through all of life’s challenges and joys. With styling, colours, and services, there’s not much I don’t love doing, but my absolute favourite part is seeing that 'wow' in your eyes at the end when you get the look you wanted.

I’m so excited to be joining the talented team at V&V. When you hear so many good things, it’s hard not to want to be a part of it. Here, you really get the opportunity to not only get to know your clients, but to understand their needs, likes, and dislikes, and have the time to deliver."

🍻 Beers and Braids at 14 Wesley Walk

If you missed it, in July. Adam, Maxine, and Jodi

hosted our fantastic collaborative Beers and Braids event over at 14 Wesley Walk!

We had nine gentlemen join us to learn how to go from not being able to brush hair to successfully braiding plaits, all so they can practice on their daughters at home. It was great fun and a wonderful experience.

Because it was such a hit, we'll be running another one next month! If you're interested in joining us, please drop us an email and we can get you on the list or the waitlist for the next session.

We know, we know—we hate to even say the C-word while it's still warm outside... but it is fast approaching!
