I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all the lovely messages, comments and love on my post yesterday.

I honestly didn’t expect such a response, and reading all your messages really reminded me why I love what I do and why I keep pushing, even when things feel tough.

I’ve had such a busy day in the Beauty Room yesterday and today and I genuinely couldn’t be more grateful.

It honestly means so much to me knowing that people are supporting my little business, booking in, recommending me and sharing my posts. Every single appointment means more than you probably realise.

Last week I was feeling a little deflated… today I’m feeling very grateful and very excited for what’s to come.

I’m going to be completely honest with you all… ❤️

Things have been really quiet in the beauty room recently, and I’m not going to lie, it’s taken a bit of a toll on me.

I feel like I’m constantly trying to advertise, create offers, post on social media, think of new ideas and find ways to get people through the door. Sometimes it feels like I’m shouting into the void, and when you put so much love, time and effort into your business, it can be really disheartening when the bookings just aren’t there. 🥺

The beauty industry is SO competitive now, and one thing I do struggle with is how much the industry has changed.

I spent 3 years studying Beauty Therapy at college, gaining my Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 qualifications, and I’ve spent years continuing to learn, improve and build my experience. This isn’t just a hobby for me, it’s something I’ve worked incredibly hard for and something I’m genuinely passionate about.

That’s why, when my diary is quiet, it can feel personal. I care so much about my little business and every single person who walks through my door.

BUT… things are starting to pick up again, and I honestly couldn’t be more grateful.

To everyone who has continued to book with me, recommended me to friends and family, shared my posts, liked/commented on my content or simply continued to support me, THANK YOU.You probably don’t realise how much it means to me.

I don’t ever want to pretend that everything is perfect or that my diary is constantly full. I want to be real with you all, because behind Justine’s Beauty Room is just me, a girl who has worked incredibly hard to build something she loves and is trying her absolute best to make it work.

Pitbull ready! 🎤🔥

I had so much fun doing this Dutch braid today before this lovely lady headed off to see Pitbull! 😍 And yes… she’s wearing a bald cap! 😂💀

It’s been such a long time since I’ve done braids on anyone else. I can still do them on myself, but I’d absolutely love to get back into it and build my confidence again.

With festival season here, I’m looking for a few lovely models who’d be happy for me to practise different braid styles and let me take a few photos afterwards. ✨
