The Lazy Frog

Happy Friday! We're looking forward to welcoming all our lovely guests for their massages today and over the weekend.

If you would like to experience a truly authentic Thai massage, feel free to book online via our website, or get in touch for assistance making an appointment.

We also run a cancellation waiting list if your preferred day/time isn't available.

We look forward to seeing you!

The rent on our Wokingham salon has increased by 37.5% 😱 and that's on top of our supply and energy costs doubling since we opened in 2021, along with increases in rates and service charges.

Don't worry, we are not increasing our prices just yet!

However, it's a substantial squeeze on increasingly slender margins, so please support us by continuing to enjoy our massage services and, whatever you do, make sure to turn up for your appointment (or cancel with at least 2 hours' notice so we can offer the slot to someone else). 🙏

The reason so many high street small businesses close is that the costs of doing business keep climbing inexorably. If you pass those costs on to your customers with increased prices, you ironically *lose* more money because fewer people are willing or able to pay the higher prices...and you go under.

Here's why it matters: 99% of businesses in the UK are small businesses, and 48% of UK workers are employed by small businesses. That means the economy, jobs and high streets depend on small businesses staying afloat.

(This isn't a political statement, it's an economic one - it's true no matter who is in government).

We're hugely grateful for the support of all our lovely guests, both in Wokingham and Marlow, and we look forward to welcoming you all back again for your next massage treatments!

Did you know that our staff give each other massages too? Giving hours of massage every day is exhausting so, in addition to practicing their skills, the therapists enjoy having their own stress and tension soothed away!

Why not experience one of our authentic Thai massages for yourself at our Marlow and Wokingham salons?

Happy Friday, folks! Wow, it’s been a busy week. I think we’ve killed another washer/dryer - lol! 😂 We’re doing back to back laundry loads all day, every day, so we put the machines through a lot more workload than most households do.

Anyway, a new machine is due to arrive tomorrow and we’re still running in the meantime!

We’re almost fully booked for this bank holiday weekend, just a few openings left in Marlow. But we’re running our usual cancellation waiting list, so if you can’t get an appointment at your preferred time & location, just let us know if you want us to give you a call if we get an opening.

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone!

We put the DEEP in deep tissue massage! Ah, but there's more to it than just exerting pressure. The trick is to work through layers of tension, not push through them.

Knots in muscle tissue are often caused by the tiny biological 'ratchets' (sarcomeres) in your muscle fibres failing to fully relax. Massage can help ease the fibres back into a relaxed state.

However, sometimes that knotted feeling can be caused by a muscle carrying a minor injury, and blindly applying a firm pressure can cause the muscle to protect itself by going into spasm - not what we want!

So, even though the guest may be insisting that the therapist goes in hard, the therapist will only apply the pressure that is therapeutically indicated.

Thai massage dates back thousands of years, why not experience it for yourself?

Book online from our website at either our Marlow or Wokingham salons, or get in touch for assistance making an appointment.

We look forward to seeing you!

Happy Friday everyone! Just a reminder for our lovely Marlow guests that we're running a special collaboration this month with Back2Normal.

Book a massage with us and a chiropractic session with Back2Normal and get 10% off *both* sessions!

Just let our respective front desks know when booking that you want to take advantage of this offer.

(Marlow only)

FOUND IN MARLOW - a mobile phone was found in the street just outside our Marlow salon in West Street. If it's yours, it's at our front desk for collection.

Reminder: our Wokingham salon is closed today due to a planned power cut, thanks to SSEN carrying out works. This is affecting a number of businesses in Denmark Street.

Hopefully, these works will be completed on schedule and normal service is due to resume tomorrow as usual!

Thanks for your patience!

Massage and chiropractic therapies complement each other, so that's why we're collaborating with Back2Normal Marlow on a special offer this August!

Book both a chiropractic session and a massage this August in Marlow, and get 10% off both treatments.

Massage is great for easing tension and knots in muscle tissue, but sometimes this tension can be caused by underlying structure and posture issues...that's where a chiropractic treatment can help. Tackle both the symptoms and the cause! Check out some customer testimonials in the images to hear what people are saying.

Back2Normal have a treatment room within The Lazy Frog premises on West Street, Marlow, so it's super convenient.

You will need to book your chiropractic session with Back2Normal directly, so please mention this offer when booking to secure your 10% discount.

Note: one discount per customer, and this offer applies to Marlow only where our two services are co-located!

We look forward to seeing you!
