Arriving from Italy in 1962 at the age of 18, Gabriel was already an accomplished ladies hairdresser. He opened his first Gabriel Forbici D'oro salon in 1969 in Kingswinford moving to Wolverhampton in 1970 and fast becoming a weekly appointment in the dairies of the town's ladies, creating a loyal clientele.
