Christmas is hands down the best part of the entire year.

It’s not just amazing because of presents, but because most of us are guaranteed some form of time off, there is no consideration given to healthy eating, and suddenly it becomes acceptable to start drinking at 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Plus no one judges you for sitting around in your pyjamas all day and watching Christmas movies from the 90s. (Von Ryan's Express and The Sound of Music being my top two).

So whether your Christmas tree is real pine or the kind you get prelit from Homebase; whether you string lots of lights or prefer to party and visit with friends, for many of us, there is no time quite like Christmas. It is the time for family, friendship and freeloading, as we forget all our problems and immerse ourselves in the joy and best wishes that are shared in abundance. Even people you do not like, you generally can tolerate come Christmas time, as once a year we do our best to be our best and let the Christmas put us all in a good mood.

Part of the fun of Christmas is running down on Christmas morning and discovering the little pile of presents waiting for you under the tree, although it is said that it is always better to give than to receive, getting gifts can never get old, especially if you have been hinting for months that you want something and actually received it. Plus, everyone gets a special warm feeling when they see a child tear wrapping paper and squealing in joy - and that is what the holidays are all about. Yes it’s materialistic, but who cares?

Basically this is the only time of the year when you can have an entire Terry’s Chocolate Orange to yourself and not be judged by a single a person.

Throughout the past few years people are trying to get fancy with their names. Not everyone does the waxing the same.

Some salons offer a full intimate wax but only remove the hair from the outside like an extended wax. Others that perform full waxes don’t wax the bum area. It’s hard to know what you are going to get when you go to a salon.

At Natures Way we offer one type of full intimate wax. The whole enchilada! Front to back, side to side and everything in-between. If you want to leave a little strip we can do that but for the most part everyone wants it all off! That’s our Pl***oy .

Just a tidy up: Extended, is the way to go: where we just tidy the sides inside the panties line.
Brazilian: A long 'landing strip' that goes from front to back.
Californian: A short 'top hat' strip that goes from front to back.
Hollywood: Everything from the front and sides but we do not clear the bottom area.

So, whatever style of bikini wax you need - you may have to leave your modesty at the door but you will have no further worries when you come here ❤️

The reason I wax my legs in the winter is because there's a lot of fleece blankets in my house in the winter and the feeling of fleece on freshly waxed legs is the closest thing to heaven I've found ❤️

To wax or not to wax has been an age-old dilemma for women.

Everything a woman does has social repercussions. If she waxes, she is not supporting feminism and adhering to societal beauty standards. If she does not, she is defying them. When so many of us choose to be hairless, are we fortifying society’s conception of what female bodies should look like or are we just standing up for our own rights to choose to do what we want, when we want, and to look how we want to look.🤔

How far are you willing to actually go with waxing? Some clients opt for completely hairless, but many also opt for a "landing strip." For those of you who don't know what a landing strip is, (it's possible someone doesn't know!) let's put it into aeronautical terms.

There's a strip of land that a pilot follows when the plane is coming in for a landing. It guides the pilot to the exact right spot where it will nestle, safe and secure. The landing strip on a female, from what I've heard, serves basically the same function. My personal theory is that a good and experienced pilot can guide his own plane in for a landing without any help.

Aside from having to expose certain private areas seen only by your guy and your gynaecologist, your experience on the waxing table shouldn't be too bad as I really have seen it all before. I hope that I come over as professional, inscrutable and, non-judgmental (but ultimately friendly). So come on, book your appointment, leave your modesty at the door and live life waxed. ❤️

💛TEENS – EARLY 20s

This was supposed to be an amazing year. It began with an optimistic to-do list and lots of achievable goals. We were going to get so much accomplished and make so many family memories and then we had lockdown three. Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start now and make a brand new ending. As I have said before 'self care is health care'.

There are five things that you can do to make life a little easier to bear and increase happiness

1. The most important, in my opinion, is sleep. If you can get 8 straight hours then that will set you up with energy and verve for the day. The benefits of sleep well documented. It can strengthen your immune system, help with weight loss, help with productivity and increase strength and endurance during exercise.

2. Exercise, not only to help with sleep but the added benefit is the fit and healthy body, the increased weight loss and all those happy hormones.

3. Get in touch with nature. This can be beautifully combined with exercise. Go for a run, walk the dogs or go for a walk with friends. Do some gardening, just sit outside with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and admire the scenery. Hug a tree.

4. Meditate. Meditation is perfect for finding a little 'me' time. It gives us time to reflect on our blessings and feelings of gratitude. It is difficult to be unhappy when you are feeling grateful and blessed.

5. Spending time with friends and family. Humans are by nature social creatures and the recent restrictions have made us all feel a little isolate. Now we have a little more freedom, spending time with our nearest and dearest is indeed wonderful. Mix in a little nature and little exercise and a little fun is a wonderful way to feel happy, blessed and loved.
