Clients ...

Hey, my beautiful people, a little update to say I am still waiting on this third MRi appointment for my brain. To see what's going on with my upper body and tremors etc, they are less frequent now due to upped meds but still occurring so we need to find out why hopefully it's a temporary pain response but they want to rule out other diagnoses due to the symptoms I can get. Then we can start physio on my back injury and help with these impinged nerves that effects my lower body and gait, I just unfortunately have no time frame yet! I've called the drs for an update and it's still a waiting game.

Hope you're all well and please sort appointments elsewhere, do not feel bad as we all need our hair done! I don't expect anyone to wait for my return. πŸ’œπŸ§‘

If I am allowed to return I will let you know when and if you want to come back to me that'll be lovely I will sort appointments .....

but I understand if you have new hairdressers as I have been off for a few months now.

Sending my love to you all!
If you seen my limping about the place give me a wave, nice to see friendly faces.

Hey wonderful clients, I've had a few messages this week asking if I'm back at work, so a little update, I am still off. I have a second MRI booked for today in Carlisle for my neck and spine. Once I get the results back I will know what treatment is needed then I will have an idea of when I can return to work! Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I understand you guys need your hair done so by all mines book yourself in with some one whilst I am off. Us girls don't need no roots haha!
Hopefully see you all soon πŸ’•.

**Customer notice **

So sorry but I am going on sick until further notice. I am listening to the professional's advice regarding my back injury and concentrating on recovering. I have tried my best to continue on adjusted hours but it's time to heal. πŸ˜”

Sorry to let anyone down who has upcoming appointments and I am very sorry I haven't messaged everyone individually, it's easier popping it on my business page for everyone to see.

By all means message me and I'll reply when I can πŸ’—.

⭐ Back update ⭐ hey I just want to thank my
amazing customers for your ongoing support I really do appreciate you all and understand me cancelling or rearranging appointments due to my back injury.

I have always had slight back pain, as we mothers do. Then at the start of December I began with severe restless legs (I have always had it in my legs at night but never through the day and never with pain and pins and needles/numbness.) which went into my feet, toe, hands and fingers.

My back began to hurt at work more than normal which I took pain relief and continued. My legs and back continued to get worse as the week went on so I saw the doctor and he transferred to the muscular skeletal department as I had muscle weakness in my legs and back spasms and pain which made walking harder. Again I continued to work and declined pain relief with working with kids I didn't want to be tired so with some changes to make sure I didn't injure it further I continued. Then it seemed to get a little better before Christmas when I was off. Then it was hurting Christmas day as Ivy was wanting up a lot There was a lot going on, boxing day I went for dinner with family and I could barely walk and the pain was intense but I trooper on. I have a good pain barrier. I went home and Shaun had to pick me up as I couldn't physically walk up my hill to my house. I then woke up in agony, Shaun had to help me out of bed, I couldn't walk without him as I would lose balance or shake, my entire body was shaking I felt as if I had a fever, I was shaking and having spasms and locking up. I've never felt pain like that, I had tears rolling down my face that I had to hide from the kids, I was scared I won't lie. I went back to the drs , she examined me again and she said I had a prolapse/herniated disc and it was rubbing on my nerves, that's what causes the leg pain and lower back pain but It was the middle of my back that was effected. So I finally got pain relief as i needed it then. I went back to work in Mayfield as I can potter around the house and stuff so I thought I would be fine but when I went it was clear I couldn't do my job, having a meeting with my boss we agreed it wasn't safe until I had myri scan and muscular skeletal appointment which I have in the next few weeks then we make an occupational health plan.

I had lots of rest. Had to cancel my salon day on the 4th.

I managed to go into the salon on Saturday 11th briefly, did one colour and a women's cut. I am self employed so I took it slow, had a stool to sit on and went home as soon as I had finished. I was only in for three hours I felt the pain but I managed, it covered my chair rent and that's all I am bothered about and trying to not let folk down.

I have seen a massive improvement this week with resting and doing physio exercises the Dr sent to me and having pain relief. I am taking it day by day in regards to the salon. If I am in pain I won't be coming in. My days will be very short if I do come in. I won't be able to do kids hair and mens hair for a little while as leaning over causes too much pain. Women's hair I can cut as I can use a stool it helps keep my back straight and I only standing when needed to. Colours I can do some but not all. I can move around and rest when the colour is on. I will be messaging if I need to re book or cancel appointments like I have done previously. I am so sorry it is just temporary as I have to look after myself for my kids. They need a mobile Mam and I need to think of them and my health.

I am so much better than I was, my age apparently factors in with healing. I am doing everything I can, pain is a lot less now, I can walk better, I am doing cold and hot therapy, physio and meds from the drs, I have MRI and muscular skeletal appointment booked. So time is a healer. Heat and gels really help too.

Sorry for the early morning SA haha but I think it's professional to keep my clients updated which I will continue to do so. Thanks for your kind words. πŸ’–πŸ₯Ή

Thanks and sorry again for any inconvenience πŸ₯ΉπŸ’–πŸ˜“. I'm not used to being off work or sitting still so you can imagine how much this bothers me. Much love.

A message to explain and say sorry I won't be In the Salon this Saturday. I have suffered with a bad back and legs since the start of December. I went to Drs a couple weeks back and got referred to the musculoskeletal department due to back spasms and leg weakness.

Since then I had to return to the Drs(on Friday )due to increased unmanageable pain,I can imagine the busyness of Christmas made it worse. Shaun had to assist me from sitting, getting out of bed and when walking Friday, Saturday due to me being In agony and shaking/shivery with pain and loosing balance. I was prescribed some pain relief and got informed I have a herniated/prolapse disc in my back that's rubbing against my nerve. The medication is definitely helping the pain, I can get up and walk about now on my own and so little jobs, I am resting when I can but also moving around as advised when the tablets are working. However when the tablets are out of my system I feel the pain still.

In the salon over Christmas after I finished for the day and returned home my legs and back were in agony. I assume standing still and on my feet all day wasn't helping. So I've decided to stay off this Saturday and hope this week off helps it heal.

I return to Mayfield Tuesday 6th then hopefully in the salon 11th January if I see an improvement. I have my appointment on the 22nd Jan for the muscular skeletal department and I am waiting for an MRI scan too.

I apologise again for Saturday, if I haven't messaged you already and you're in this Saturday give me a pm and I will rearrange your appointment.

Fingers crossed I'll be in as normal on the 11th. Just taking it day by day atm.

Thanks for your continued support I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and have an amazing new year!

Colour correction for Sarah, gradually lightening up Sarah's hair in a healthy way. Trust the process. Sarah had in the past dyed her hair black, then stripped it at home. In time after giving her hair a rest she came in wanting to eventually go lighter and even out the different shades in her hair, as she had some really darker prices too. The first appointment was done a couple of weeks ago using both slices and foliage. Much better ☺️

refresh for Emma today, added more depth and dimension whilst lightened her hair up, keeping a low maintenance colour, using foilyage, baby lights and teasing, leaving some natural root showing!
