Do you know anyone living with a stoma?

Last Saturday, I volunteered at a stoma social event, leading some chair-based exercises. It was a real eye-opener to see how many people are affected.

This is close to my heart—my mum is no longer with us and was nearly in this position herself, so I wanted to give something back.

A truly rewarding experience, and hopefully I brought a few smiles along the way.
Do you know anyone who has a stoma? On Tuesday last week I was contacted and asked if I would volunteer to do some chair exercises for stoma social gathering they were having. A lot of people are unaware just how many people are in this position. It was a real eye opener for me to how many people have stomas. My mother was nearly one of them but unfortunately did not make it. So I thought I would do my bit for the community. I went along and had some fun and brought smiles to peoples faces who have had to have a life changing procedure.
