A bit of a moaning post incoming … which I hate to do on my business page so I apologise in advance
Recently , I’ve had some brides cancelling very last minute. Brides who have forgotten to let me know that there wedding day has been postponed or cancelled. To the point I had a large wedding booking cancel with 3 days notice after no contact back with me for months 😩
I have dates booked out for people for years in advance and I now won’t be able to fill those dates with such short notice. I currently only take a small deposit for a wedding booking and I don’t want to have to increase this.
Please please please going forward if you no longer want your date in my diary let me know as far in advance as possible so I can open it up to other brides.
If you can’t make your bridal trial please let me know so we can rearrange and again I can offer this to somebody else.
I’m literally working myself into the ground at the moment, wedding season is crazy. I’m up at 4am most days and working every Saturday and Sunday to squeeze people in.
Like I said, I hate moaning on here and very rarely do but i need to get the importance across of cancelling short notice on your suppliers 🤍
BUT im still having the best 2026 wedding season. Had some amazing mornings with you all and such beautiful brides. I’m very lucky so a massive Thankyou ✨✨✨
In this industry it is very difficult to get wrapped up with thoughts of ‘I’m not good enough’ ‘so and so is better than I am’ and constantly compare your work against other stylists.
When in reality we should be comparing our work against our own work. Seeing the progress we have made as a stylist ourselves. I was actually shocked at the hairstyles I produced when I first started out. Not because they was terrible (even though I cringed hard)… at the time I was happy with my work. But because I was so uneducated.
Years and years of practice, training, masterclasses, online tutorials has got me to where I am now and I am proud of that achievement. You don’t come out of college being able to style hair you have to learn that yourself 🙌🏼
It may of taken me 10 years and I am nowhere near where I want to be within this industry but I feel I am exactly where I need to be at this point in my life and I am so so grateful for every client who books in with me! 🥰🥰
