Anyone who used to come into Scallywags through the years will remember Dave! He could be found either in his shop Abbeys or sitting in Scallywags drinking coffee and chatting!
For those customers who are not my personal Facebook friends Dave passed away yesterday. He had Parkinson’s disease for quite a few years. I am sure if he hadn’t got poorly he would STILL be sitting outside his shop enjoying the sunshine in the summer and sitting in my shop getting warm in the winter!

A sad day today as my friend Sarah lost her fight against cancer. She drove me mad sitting in my shop for hours in the past but she did not have a bad bone in her body. Bless you Sarah I will certainly miss you. I have put this on the shop page in the hope to reach people who knew her from Scallywags. P.S I am LOVING retirement!!!

Now it’s time to open up all our presents from our lovely customers-so many!! Think I’m going to be fat and drunk after opening all these. Thank you all so much ❤️❤️❤️

So my last day working is Christmas Eve. I will be doing customers till about 12.
I will be in here till about 2:00 for anyone who would like to pop along to say goodbye,share a few memories and have a drink and a mince pie. All past and present customers very welcome.

ANNOUNCMENT

So after 40 happy years trading as Scallywags I am hanging up my scissors and FULLY RETIRING. Our last day trading will be on Christmas Eve. Sad to be leaving my lovely customers who I also think of as friends but so happy about retiring and looking forward to a new chapter in our lives. Fee.
