Supporting people with chronic pain, stress and anxiety through calming, therapeutic massage.

My approach helps you feel safe, relaxed and supported in your recovery.

When recovering from an injury, it’s easy to focus on everything you can’t do.

“I can’t run.”
“I can’t train.”
“I can’t do what I used to.”

But recovery often becomes much easier when we shift our attention to what we can do.

There is usually some form of movement, exercise, or activity that remains comfortable and manageable. Staying active within your current limits can help maintain confidence, fitness, and overall wellbeing whilst your body recovers.

Rather than asking:
“What can’t I do right now?”

Try asking:
“What can I do today?”

Small steps forward are still progress.

Pain isn’t always a measure of damage.

A few important things I’ve learned through study and working with clients:

✔️ Pain is always real.

✔️ Pain is personal – two people with the same condition can have very different experiences.

✔️ Stress, sleep, previous experiences, beliefs, and daily life can all influence how pain is felt.

✔️ Scans and tissue changes don’t always match pain levels.

✔️ Understanding your pain can be an important step towards managing it.

As a massage therapist, my role isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to listen, understand your individual experience, and help you move more comfortably and confidently.

Pain is complex, but there is often more hope than many people realise.

I’ve heard this from a few clients recently.

They’ve arrived after a stressful day at work, feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or just exhausted.

A few have even said:

“Today has been awful, but I’m so glad I pre-booked this massage.”

While we often think of massage as something we book when we’re aching or injured, sometimes it’s simply an hour where nobody needs anything from you.

No emails.
No work.
No rushing around.

Just time to switch off and focus on yourself.

Sometimes that one hour becomes the highlight of the day.

Have you ever nearly cancelled something, only to be glad you went?

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of providing massage treatments for neurodivergent clients.

One of the things that means the most to me is when clients tell me they feel seen, heard, and comfortable during their appointments.

There is no “right way” to be in my treatment room. Some clients like to chat, some prefer silence. Some fidget, some sing along to music, and some would rather have no music at all.

I understand that sensory experiences can affect everyone differently, so I aim to adapt the environment where possible. Whether that’s adjusting lighting, reducing noise, changing music, or simply checking in about what feels comfortable, I want clients to feel they can guide me on what works best for them.

My goal is to provide a safe, respectful space where people can relax and receive treatment without feeling they need to mask who they are.

Every client is different, and that’s okay.

🌿 Self-Care Isn’t Just Bubble Baths and Spa Days

Life can feel harder when we’re dealing with:

• Stress
• Poor sleep
• Financial worries
• Relationship pressures
• Anxiety and overwhelm
• Constant comparison on social media
• Lack of time for ourselves
• Persistent aches and pains

Self-care doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it looks like:

✅ Going for a walk
✅ Getting enough sleep
✅ Moving your body regularly
✅ Spending time with people who lift you up
✅ Taking a break from social media
✅ Asking for help when you need it
✅ Making time for activities you enjoy
✅ Looking after those aches and pains before they stop you doing the things you love

You don’t have to wait until you’re burnt out to start taking care of yourself.

Small actions done consistently often make the biggest difference.

🚫 MYTH BUSTING MONDAY 🚫

“You need 6 sessions to fix your pain.”

Not necessarily.

Be cautious of anyone who tells you exactly how many treatments you’ll need before they’ve seen how your body responds.

The truth is, everybody is different.

Recovery isn’t something that can be predicted down to an exact number of sessions. Factors such as your lifestyle, stress levels, sleep, activity levels, general health, and the nature of your symptoms all play a role.

Massage isn’t a magic fix, and no therapist can make your tissues heal faster.

What massage can do is help reduce muscle tension, calm sensitive areas, promote relaxation, and make the recovery process feel more manageable and comfortable.

My goal isn’t to make you dependent on treatment.

It’s to help you feel better, move with more confidence, and support you while your body does what it’s designed to do: adapt, recover, and heal.

The best treatment plan is one that’s tailored to you—not a package sold before your first appointment.

It’s been a hot 🥵 and busy week. Thank you to those of you who have very kindly offered to bring me ice lollies to keep me cool in between massage appointments. I’m working again tomorrow but hopefully the majority of you will get to rest your ‘bones’ 🤣 and relax. Enjoy the last of the sunshine ☀️
