World Breastfeeding Week 2026

Our journey wasn’t straight forward but I’m glad we kept at it and 21 months later we’re still going.

I actually thought our journey was coming to an end this week as Polly didn’t want her usual morning feed 2 days in a row but then she decided she did want it. The body is amazing how it adapts 💗

Grateful to my body for allowing me to bring my baby girl into this world and to feed her 🥰

My little girl was 5 months old and we were coming up to weaning. Like most parents, I had one worry sat quietly in my mind, choking. So I booked myself onto a parent and carer first aid class, just to feel a bit more prepared.

I walked out calmer than I’d felt in months. A few weeks later, that same franchise came up for sale and I just knew. I didn’t buy a business that day. I bought a way to give other parents that exact same feeling of relief.

It was also the career I didn’t know I needed. Flexible, fulfilling, built around my family rather than instead of it. Never about the money. Always about helping people feel ready.

rupertsrainbow Rupert’s family know first hand how important it is to know what to do in an emergency after having to perform CPR on Rupert, which is truly heart breaking but also amazing that they know what to do and have been able to help Rupert 🌈

Rupert has an ultra-rare neurological condition called Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC). There is currently no cure for AHC, and symptoms vary greatly in both frequency and severity. Research for treatments for AHC are currently being developed in the United States and the family want to be ready to take action as soon as the opportunity arises.
