💫Whilst I was away on holiday, I finally had something I rarely get… time to think.

No clients, no diary, no salon projects. Just time to reflect on where I’ve come from and where I want the next chapter of my journey to take me.

When I first left a secure 14 year career to retrain as a hairdresser and open a salon with no clients, success looked very different. It was about surviving, building a business and proving to myself that I’d made the right decision.

But somewhere along the way, things changed.

When I look back now, the things I’m most proud of aren’t just the salon, the qualifications or even the awards.

It’s the people.

It’s seeing women walk through the door unsure of themselves and watching them grow in confidence.

It’s encouraging someone to enter an award when they don’t think they’re good enough.

It’s reminding someone how talented they are when they’ve forgotten.

It’s watching them achieve things they never thought possible.

Those moments genuinely mean as much to me as any achievement of my own.

The older I’ve got, the more I’ve realised that success isn’t just about what you build for yourself. It’s about the impact you have on the people around you.

If there’s one thing I’d like to be remembered for, it’s helping other women see in themselves what I could see in them all along.

Because sometimes all it takes is one person believing in you before you’re able to believe in yourself. ❤️

To have another member of the ELM team recognised on a national stage is something we are incredibly proud of.

Today isn’t just about being named a finalist.

It’s about seeing how far Kelly has come.

Over the time I’ve known and worked with Kelly, I’ve watched her grow not only as an Extension Specialist, but also in confidence and belief in herself. Seeing her step outside of her comfort zone, trust her abilities and continue to develop into the professional she is today has been incredibly rewarding.

Being named a Hair & Beauty Awards Finalist is a wonderful achievement, but what makes me most proud is the person she has become along the way.
