I've been putting off sharing this for a long time...

After 21 years of doing hair, I realised I've never actually introduced myself on here...🤍

So, hi! I'm Heidi, the face behind HAIR KANDI.

This August marks 5 years since I took the biggest leap of my life and opened my own salon-something I'd dreamed about for years.
My journey started with a Saturday job in a salon before going to college one day a week while working full time. I've always worked hard, and although this career has brought plenty of challenges, I've never stopped loving it.
For me, hairdressing has never just been about cutting, colouring and styling hair. It's about helping people feel confident, building genuine friendships, sharing life's ups and downs, and seeing someone leave the salon feeling happier than when they walked in.
After years of being loyal to the salons I worked in, I finally took a chance on myself. I started working mobile, juggling long hours while raising my daughter, always trying to find the balance between work and family life.

Then lockdown happened... and it made me realise that life is too short not to chase your dreams.

Opening HAIR KANDI was the scariest thing l've ever done but without a doubt, it's been the best decision I've ever made.

Today, I'm so lucky to have Sarah and Nicola working alongside me. Together we've created a salon that's warm, welcoming and somewhere I hope every client feels completely at home.
