It always blows my mind how such a simple adjustment can have such a huge impact on the finished result.

LIGHTS ON:

I take the majority of my photos with the salon lights on as I find it gives a lot of dimension to the image as a whole and allows the eye to travel around the whole image especially with my mirror lights.

LIGHTS OFF:

I turn the lights off if I feel the hair isn’t popping on camera as much as it is in person. This allows for the hair to attract all external lighting to emphasise the colours full potential. By turning the lights off this will naturally make the background take over the whole image so much.
