Poor posture doesn’t just affect how you stand - it can have a real impact on how your body feels every day.

Hours spent at a desk, looking down at a phone, or driving can contribute to:
• Neck and shoulder tension
• Headaches
• Upper and lower back pain
• Tight chest muscles
• Reduced mobility
• Muscle fatigue

Massage won’t “fix” your posture on its own, but it can help relieve many of the symptoms caused by prolonged poor posture.

By reducing muscle tension, improving circulation, encouraging relaxation, and increasing flexibility, massage can help you move more comfortably and make it easier to maintain better posture alongside regular movement and strengthening exercises.

If you’ve been living with persistent aches and stiffness, your muscles may simply be asking for a little care.

✨ Your posture affects your muscles—your muscles affect how you feel. Looking after both can make a real difference.

Massage is a great way to manage stress and relieve tension - two of the main causes of migraine headaches.

Research at The Touch Institute of the University of Miami School of Medicine found that regular massage therapy significantly decreased the occurrence of headaches, sleep disturbances and distress symptoms, while increasing serotonin levels in adults with migraine headaches.

Could this be the answer to eliminate your headaches?

Muscular imbalance, prolonged sitting, or improper lifting can often contribute to lower back aches and pains.

Focused massage therapy helps to loosen tight tissues and improve blood flow to affected areas.

Regular massage can enhance mobility and support long-term spinal stability, whilst keeping those old twinges at bay!

Our body communicates what it needs and what needs attention and if you learn to become aware of how your body feels you’ll soon be able to listen and understand exactly what your body is asking for.

Are you listening to your body?

Massage therapy influences the body's stress response.

By using slow, intentional pressure, the nervous system begins to make a shift away from sympathetic ‘fight-or-flight’ activity and into parasympathetic regulation - the state where the body restores and recalibrates, the ‘rest and digest’ state.

As this shift occurs, muscle tension decreases, breathing slows and circulation improves.

This is why many people leave a session feeling calmer, looser and more balanced both mentally and physically.

Massage is a great way to help with tight neck and shoulders or a tense back or frequent headaches as well as many other issues.

However massage is not designed as a ‘one and done’

So whilst it will definitely help after your session the best way to avoid getting problems is to be consistent and have a monthly massage.

Prevention is better than cure!

Pain is the body’s way of telling you something is wrong.

A massage should never be painful. If it is you need to ask the therapist to use less pressure.

A lot of people think a deep tissue massage is a painful treatment but in reality my clients often find it very relaxing and effective.

Has the idea of a deep tissue massage put you off having one?

Book a deep tissue massage with me and I can guarantee you’ll be hooked!
