I was chatting with a client about this the other day and thought it might help a few of you too.

My client was telling me how she had recently switched from shaving her legs to waxing as she found the results to be better. She was sick of having to shave every few days and didn't like the thick, stubbly feel when the hair re-grew.

I asked her if she had ever considered laser hair removal and she said that she had never really looked into it.

Now don't get me wrong, waxing can get amazing results but these are only short term and there is always the risk of ingrown hairs (especially on bikini line) which can be annoying and painful. Waxing pulls the hair from the root whereas laser hair removal damages the whole follicle permanently so it won't grow back. I've been doing Permanent Makeup for 5 years. Here's how I can tell you need removal and NOT a colour boost in 10 seconds...

Many people think that once they get Permanent Makeup done on their brows they can just keep refreshing the look with a colour boost every few years. NOPE! Unfortunately there is a limit to how many times that can be done before removal is needed.

Why?
Think of your skin as a sponge. There is a limit to how much water a sponge can soak up and it's the same with your skin. Colour boosts just add more and more layers of pigment on top of each other until we get to a point where further tattooing just won't make a difference
This is when removal is needed to create a "blank slate".
So what are my options?
Tattoo removal can be done by laser, saline or a combination of both. That brow tattoo you had done years ago doesn't have to be on your face forever. Fashions, trends and our styles change over time and thats O.K.
