You’ve all noticed my speed, and at this point I’m actually doing myself out of a wage by working so fast.

And no one wants their hair pulling longer than they need. So to reflect this my prices have gone up. This includes home visit costs as fuel is through the roof too!

All booked appointments stand at the current price.

A lovely visit to see Emily last week to maintain her lovely mature dreadlocks and catch up with the family.

Emily was my first ever client install. A full head of locs with super long extensions.
I was super nervous but it was all lovely, spending the weekend getting to know her, her partner (now husband) and their newborn.
Well the newborn isn’t so new anymore and he’s got a little sister who is also getting big!
It’s a pleasure to be a part of their family ❤️

Now every time I install anyone’s locs i always think back to my first install, and what an awesome kick start to my loctitian journey and her loc journey that weekend was!

At Floatilocs HQ, I’m all about creating a professional, bespoke dreadlock experience that feels calm, friendly, and completely tailored to you.

Whether you’re starting your loc journey, keeping your crown looking fresh, or have never had maintenance before,I offer custom installs, maintenance, and ongoing care on my floating home in York.
I also offer loctitian training courses on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis.

I offer home visits within an hour’s drive from me at a small additional cost and have a range of beads and threads to decorate your locs with, and you’re always welcome to bring your own for me to add in at any appointment.

My aim is for Floatilocs to be the place where your locs can grow, flourish, and you can truly feel like you.

And today for the chop! Nay needed a chop for his super beautiful long mature dreads. Needing to wear them up for work, the weight was getting too much!

So chop chop! Then brushed the ends out to start new whispy ends. I purposely made all his dreads slightly different lengths with slightly different styles of whispy ends. Just to stop them looking too clinical!

Maintenance to come in the next few weeks, watch this space for his full transformation!
