FACT OR FICTION?
There are a lot of “rules” in medical aesthetics that aren’t actually rules.
Things get repeated.
Someone posts something online.
Someone’s accountant told them something.
Suddenly, it becomes industry fact.
Except sometimes…
it isn’t true.
Part of my job for more than a decade has been separating fact from fiction.
Looking at the legislation.
Looking at the numbers.
Looking at the evidence.
And challenging the myths that simply don’t stand up.

I’m an entrepreneur.
Of course I am.
I’m a 90s woman. We were raised on “just get on with it”.
Run the business.
Raise the kids.
Sort the family.

Answer the phone.
Make the decisions.
Keep the plates spinning.
And somehow still turn up looking like you’ve got your s**t together.
This week we’ve been at CCR.
Not as accountants.
Not there to sell.
We’ve been there cheerleading some of our biggest cheerleaders and supporting an industry we genuinely care about.
Meanwhile, my businesses are still running, my family still needs me and there’s me in the back of a taxi organising my dad’s tablets on the phone.
Because entrepreneur life doesn’t clock off.
And actually?
I bloody love it.
The building.
The ideas.
The chaos.
The “I’ll sort it”.
The ridiculous ambition that makes you believe you can fit nine days into seven.
That’s who we are.
But even the people who can handle everything need space to think.
Space to get out of the business.
Space to look at what they’ve built.
Space to work out where the hell they’re taking it next.
That’s why we created The 8th Day.
Not another conference.
Not another room full of people talking at you.
Not another notebook full of things you’ll never have time to implement.
A day OUT of your business to work ON your business.
For the founders, the grafters, the jugglers, the “I’ll bloody do it myself” generation.
You didn’t choose the entrepreneur life.
At some point, it just became who you are.
