I've now tried my new blend of lavender, orange, and marjoram essential oils — and I can report that it really is lovely! 🌿✨
The combination is said to help calm the nervous system, promote relaxation, improve circulation, and support lower blood pressure, all of which sound rather appealing.
As some of you may remember, marjoram was associated with Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, and was said to feature in love potions. I have even worked out the proportions needed to turn this blend into a room or body spray should anyone wish to test the theory!
However, whilst I can confidently recommend it for relaxation, I cannot guarantee any positive outcomes in matters of the heart... 😉😄

My last blend of lavender, chamomile, and mandarin essential oils ended up being used throughout our house during a particularly stressful time.
Whilst I can’t honestly say whether it reduced anyone’s scars or age spots 😊, I do think it helped create a calmer atmosphere and perhaps eased some anxiety along the way.
Next week I’m hoping to try a new blend using lavender, orange, and marjoram essential oils — although I’ve discovered I’m currently out of marjoram, so patience is required while I wait for it to arrive!
According to Greek mythology, Aphrodite, goddess of love, was particularly fond of marjoram, which led to it being linked with love potions. In reality though, marjoram essential oil is often used to help calm the nervous system, promote relaxation, improve circulation, and support lower blood pressure.
I’m looking forward to trying this lovely calming combination soon 🌿✨

This week’s blend is another relaxation one, maybe one for the burner this time 🌿✨
We’re still using lavender, but this time adding chamomile and mandarin essential oils too.
Chamomile is wonderfully calming and is often used to help relieve anxiety and promote restful sleep. Mandarin oil is uplifting and refreshing, and is said to help brighten the skin, ease insomnia, and reduce the appearance of scars and age spots — definitely one I’ll be using! 😄
A lovely blend for relaxation, rest, and a little bit of self-care.
ps please dm know if you need to know the ratio quantities for making it yoursfel!!

It's been a week or two since I last posted but my next blend will be for relaxation which is key to our well-being.
Lavender is great for aiding relaxation, rose oil is calming and blends well with it and vetiver oil, whilst it has a woody, earthy, slightly bitter fragrance has relaxing and sedative properties which make it ideal for use at bedtime.. however I have no vetiver oil in stock so once that arrives I will let you know how the blend works!

I've been experimenting with my aromatherapy oils and created a (somewhat minty) footsoak or massage oil - I tried a little on my arm and it smells lovely.
I used: sweet orange, peppermint and raspberry to lift your mood, geranium and rose to bring comfort to a racing mind and base notes of oud* and cedarwood to ground your senses and restore calm. No wonder I like it!!
Let me know if you would like to try it...
*The Oud Al Abtisam includes floral, woody scents which worked really well with this combination.
Later in the year I would be tempted to pop a few rose petals and a squeeze of raspberrries into the water too!

Here is the first bespoke footsoak... you can just see the vibrations in the water and some freshly picked jasmine and rosemary to enhance the treatment.
I put some of the oil in my burner and spritzed the hot cloths with the rest.
All in all a lovely aromatic experience for my client ☺️
Feel free to message me prior to treatment with your favourite aromatherapy oils and I will create a footsoak especially for you.

I have been playing with my aromatherapy oils and on Easter Sunday had a combination of Nard, Frankincense and Myrrh on my burner in church. It made a big difference to the "churchy" smell😜
I have had a bit of a play in advance of a foot soak next week. The brief was lavender, jasmine, ylang ylang and patchouli - it just needed a little something else so I added rosemary and it does smell good.
Rosemary is great as it aids detoxing, boosts circulation and is both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. I will pick some from the garden ready for next week's client and I think there is even some jasmine flowers I could pop in too.

I am venturing down to Canterbury next week for a short pilgrimage whilst some of my favourite tools are going in for sharpening..
We are due some rest and recuperation I think: but we will be back shortly - in the meantime keep using your cuticle creams/oils and moisturise your hands and feet well!!
