Calling all working Mama’s in the wedding industry… HOW DO YOU DO IT?!

Today was a wedding I’d been looking forward to for a long time. My first wedding back since having my daughter 4 months ago. A beautiful bride, studding venue and a chance to get back into what I love in a low pressure setting… but then reality hit…. I had to leave Simmie for the longest time I ever have.

I’ve honestly never felt pain like it and felt like I was missing a huge part of myself all morning! I had guilt on all sides. Not being able to leave if she needed me because I know what that specific cry or noise means. What if I missed her first time achieving something? She’s nearly rolling now. It’s also bloody hot atm - what if she over heats?!
But how could I let my bride down? Someone who found me, put her trust and her faith in me on a huge day in her life?

I love making the everyday woman feel beautiful but my god, do I love raising the beautiful girl I created. There’s been a lot of tears.

I had the most beautiful morning with Kate, Ruth and family and of course I came home to a calm and content little girl. But what the hell?! Where do we find this balance and does the guilt ever stop?!
