Welcome to The Green House HQ! I've had several conversations with people recently regarding viewing our stock and I have to tell them the truth, our home is our premises! The reality of running a business out of our 2 bed home sometimes means my beautiful wife returns home to scenes like this when I'm doing a stock check and potting on. I took a cutting from my sister-in-laws Christmas cactus at the end of November and it flowered within a couple of weeks of being in new soil. It then got this odd die back in the lower section and I didn't hold out much hope of it surviving. It's sat on our kitchen window sill pretty much being ignored since then and today a realised it's got new growth! 🌵🌱 @ York

Had some awesome new headshots done yesterday at the wedding fayre! Thanks to for letting me mess about and for passing me new props on the 6 seconds between photos!

I was going to save this one till tomorrow but couldn't resist sharing today! Been planting up our can wedding favours for tomorrow wedding fayre and love how cute to chain of hearts in a Redwell Extra Pale Ale can looks, especially next to the structural cactus in a can. 🌵🌱🍻

Just potting up some wedding favour options for the wedding fayre on Sunday (11am to 3pm). Money Tree, Echeveria, Wood Sorrel or Pilea, which would choose? Or something different? Our favours start from just £1 and through our trusted network of suppliers we can get hold of pretty much anything, why not set us a challenge!

I can now confirm we're going to be exhibiting at the River Mills Ballroom Wedding Fayre! There's going to be nearly 40 small businesses and individual's showing off the amazing things they do to make your wedding even more memorable. We'll be showing some of our new table centre ideas along side out beautiful living favours. Even if you're not engaged, why not come along and have a nosey and the lovely .

Today I intended to get outside and mix up a batch of concrete to make a legion of tiny pots. However, up in Yorkshire, the weather had other ideas! Instead, as a break from my endless spreadsheets I though I'd give a simple macrame pot hanger a go. Pretty chuffed with the result and now my Peperomia has a permanent home. 😃

So the last couple months have been tough with a fair few set backs and more than a bit of soul searching! However, we're still standing and excited to be able to finally share some images from a wedding shoot we were involved in just before Christmas. It was a great day working with some amazing small businesses, individuals and at a beautiful venue.

Just been potting up some water rooted cuttings. The Wood Sorrell is a new one to us but the others come from leaves that have been knocked off healthy plants at one point or another.
