FAVOUR IN EVERY SEASON


"But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison”
Genesis 39:21

Joseph had a peculiar life characterized by many strange happenings. His brothers hated him for no reason, and he found himself betrayed by them and sold as a slave into the house of Potiphar. There, he was put in prison on false accusations, before he was finally elevated through divine orchestrations to the topmost position of the Prime minister of Egypt.

He was able to go through all these difficult moments because the FAVOUR of God was with him at every season and point in his life.

The Bible establishes in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that, "for everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under the sun." There are seasons of mourning and seasons of dancing, seasons of pain and sorrow and seasons of joy and gladness. What will sustain you in all these seasons of life, to ensure that you remain at the pinnacle is the FAVOUR of God.

The favour of God in your life is the only guarantee that you will smile at the end of the storms, regardless of the phase of life you find yourself in.

Pray with me:
Dear God, please cause your favour to be with me today and through all the seasons of my life. In the good and the bad times, show me your steadfast love like you did for Joseph, in Jesus' name. Amen!
