*Topic: Delving into the 10 commandments of God.* Part 2

Exodus 20:4-6

4) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

For if we know that God is who we must serve, then we must agree to do what He loves and hate what He hates.

God instructs that if we love Him, we should obey His commandments.

From the scripture, God is telling us not to make any graven image(a design) of anything that he has created.

We must not make any symbol of a tree, a human being, an animal, a statue, a fish, the sun, the moon or anything that God has created and we must not also worship it.

God is reminding us that He is a jealous God so we must not make a picture of what He has created and worship it instead of Him *(God Almighty)* .

God has also mentioned that he has the power to punish everyone who disobeys Him and also has the power to repeat the punishment on the offender's children.

If we who did not make(and do not own or have power over) our parents, girlfriend, wife, sisters etc but we get jealous over them, how much more God who made human beings and owns them(us).

Must we not be obedient to and worship only the *God* that made us and owns us?

Yes, we must worship only God all the days of our lives because He is the one who made us.

Shall we disobey what God has told us not to do or that we should not worship instead of Him?

No, we must not disobey God because He made us and has the power to do what He wants against us if we disobey Him.

After God's instructions that we don't worship any other thing apart from him, He promises to show mercy to anyone who will love Him, love His commandments and obey Him.

God does not lie and whatever He tells us to do is the truth.

God promises are Yeah and it always happens. And as God has promised to pamper us(do good to us) if we serve Him, it is the truth and we must believe to do all what He is telling us to do.

Lord God Almighty, I am so grateful for all that you do for me.
I pray that you give me the strength to serve you all the days of my life that I don't go chasing after anything else apart from you.
