The nucleus which is engulfed by the cytoplasm,is a slightly flattened sphere. Surrounded by its own enveloping membrane,the nucleus houses several finger shaped chromosomes that carry a chemical code material known as DNA which permits the cell to duplicate itself exactly.

And in our world today Science in utilizing it's medical skills to safe-gaurs the rights of potential young mothers at the cost of canceling out the lives of thousands of unborn babies that might have been born by young people. But God in His great wisdom has determined that physical life shall pass from one generation to another across a fragile bridge of just two cells. To understand this link and how a separate life begins,one must visualize the structure of a living cell.

Doctors also testify that a baby born of a ni****ne drug by a woman smoker,is sickly because it's poisoned and may even die within two weeks of birth. A post mortem report on it always shows degeneration of the liver,heart and other organs. According to physicians it's estimated that 60 percent of all babies,born by habitual tobacco-smoking mothers die before they are two years of age.

There is danger in illegal abortions. Effects induced at times,to the unborn child may be fearful. Brain damage could result in epilepsy, or feeble-mindedness,which would for ever remind the parents of their woman crime. It has been estimated that about 32 percent of epileptics owe their affliction to the use of poisonous drugs in attempted abortions by their mothers.

Evidently every Year countless young women die because of complications that set in as a result of illegal abortions and many are in mental institutions.

Criminal or illegal abortions,usually performed by quack doctors in haste,in ill-equipped theater are many times more dangerous to the mother than legal abortions. Physicians say that even though the mother may survive the shock of this terrible outrage against God and nature,she is often doomed to a life of suffering and misery, physically,mentally and morally.

Since the establishment of these broad provisions,there has been a significant increase in the number of reported ther**eutic abortions in many countries including Ghana. According to some statistical reports obtained from some health bureaux in some countries there have been millions of abortions performed in almost all parts of the world.

And in some countries,abortion laws are passed either to prevent a woman from causing abortion or giving her the right to cause abortion. This statute at times broadens the grounds for ther**eutic abortion to include three basic cases (a) in which continuation of pregnancy would gravely impair the physical or mental health of the woman,(b) in which girl under fifteen becomes pregnant and (c) in which pregnancy has resulted from r**e or in**st.

Laws exist in every country protecting the life of the foetus and providing for prosecution of anyone who attempts to induce a miscarriage in a pregnant woman. Until the last few years,abortion was not generally permitted at a ther**eutic measure expecting where it was deemed necessary to save the life of the mother. Recently however,some countries have enacted liberalized codes that permit the so-called ther**eutic abortion for several other reasons.

In a few pregnancies the embryo dies and abortion occurs spontaneously. They current national interest in abortion has little or nothing to do with such natural miscarriages but has centered on the question of whether or not a doctor should be permitted to terminate embryonic life unnaturally using one of the many physical or chemical means by which this is possible in the medical World.
