Gabbso Ghana Barbers

Ghana Association of Barbers and Barbering Salon Owners (GABBSO) is a democratic non-profit organization formed in 12th August 1995 by few barbers lead by Mr. The association is governed by a constitution and mandated to elect its leaders at a delegate conference every four (4) years. GABBSO represent all the regions across Ghana with its headquarters in Accra. It has its structures as mandated by the constitution. These are National, Regional, District and Zonal Executives respectively. Barbering as one of the oldest trade has gain recognition globally in grooming and beautification as a whole. The rapid growth rate of barbering continues to increase where new trending haircut for both men and women becomes fashionable day in day out globally. Health and safety issues associated to this trade comes topics for discussion. The mindset of people with the possibility of attracting infections at the barbering shops and its related services is high. Also professionalism at barbering shops becomes another heart breaking. In view of these, it became necessary to form a unified association to foster unity among barbers to promote good practice to ensure barbering practices becomes more attractive and to gain a good reputation and to also meet international standard of practice.
