People don’t fall sick the day the sickness shows up.
The body sends signals.
Small warnings.
Soft whispers.
Little discomforts we ignore because “it’s nothing.”

Until one day… it becomes something.

And suddenly, the same person who said,
“I’m fine,”
“I’ll be okay,”
“It’s just stress,”
“I’ll check later,”
…is now running from lab to lab seeking answers.

Health doesn’t collapse overnight.
It breaks down in small pieces—
from the things we ignored…
to the checkup we postponed…
to the symptoms we prayed away without action.

Listen…
Your body has been speaking to you.
Are you hearing it?

Regular checkups don’t expose problems.
They prevent disasters.
They save futures.
They protect destinies.
They give you time to correct what’s going wrong.

You don’t wait for your car engine to knock before you check the oil.
So why wait for your body to crash before checking your health?

This is your reminder today:
Go for that checkup.
Not for fear,
but for wisdom.

Your life is precious.
Treat it like it is.

FATS AND YOUR HEALTH!

Fats are essential for energy, hormone balance, and vitamin absorption—but the type matters.
Too much bad fats (trans fats, excess saturated fats) can block arteries, increase belly fat, and raise the risk of heart disease and diabetes.
Healthy fats (from fish, nuts, seeds, avocado, olive oil) protect the heart, brain, and hormones when taken in moderation.
👉 Choose healthy fats. Limit the bad ones. Balance is key.

FOODS TO AVOID AS A LIVER PATIENT.

For liver patients, especially those with fatty liver, hepatitis (A, B, C), cirrhosis, or liver inflammation, certain foods can seriously worsen liver damage and should be avoided completely or as much as possible.

1. ALCOHOL (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Beer, palm wine, bitters, spirits, wine
Even small amounts can accelerate liver damage

2. FATTY & FRIED FOODS
Fried chicken, fried fish, French fries
Meat pie, doughnuts, akara soaked in oil
Fast foods (KFC, burgers, shawarma) ➡️ Causes fat buildup and inflammation in the liver.

3. PROCESSED & SMOKED MEATS
Sausages, hot dogs, bacon
Smoked fish/meat with chemicals
Canned meats ➡️ High in preservatives and toxins the liver must struggle to clear.

4. EXCESS SUGAR & REFINED CARBOHYDRATES
Soft drinks, energy drinks
Cakes, biscuits, sweets, chocolates
White bread, white rice (in excess) ➡️ Sugar converts to fat and worsens fatty liver.

5. SALTY & HIGH-SODIUM FOODS
Instant noodles
Seasoning cubes (Maggi, Royco) in excess
Canned soups and salted snacks ➡️ Causes fluid retention and swelling in liver disease.

6. RAW OR UNDERCOOKED FOODS
Raw seafood
Undercooked eggs or meat ➡️ Risk of infections the liver cannot handle

7. HERBAL MIXTURES & UNVERIFIED SUPPLEMENTS
Roadside bitters
Unknown herbal “cleansers” ➡️ Many are toxic to the liver, despite being “natural”

8. EXCESS RED MEAT
Beef, goat meat, pork (especially fatty cuts) ➡️ Overloads the liver with protein and fat

9. ARTIFICIAL ADDITIVES
Artificial sweeteners
Food coloring, preservatives ➡️ Increases liver toxin load
✅ Safer Alternatives (Brief)
Boiled, grilled, or steamed foods
Vegetables (kontomire, cabbage, carrots)
Fruits (pawpaw, apple, watermelon)
Whole grains (brown rice, oats)
Lean protein (fish, beans in moderation)

⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT.
A damaged liver does not regenerate easily when abused. Diet alone can determine whether a liver patient recovers or deteriorates.
