Two Economies
There are basically two economies in the world and every nation on the face of the earth fall under either of them.
These are:
* The Knowledge Economy
* The Religion Economy
The rich and prosperous nations of the world belong to the Knowledge Economy while the the poorest and poverty stricken nations of the world belong to the Religion Economy.
The Knowledge Economy is one that engages the brain, asks relevant questions, and proffer solutions to problems.
The Religion Economy is one that blackmails God and dumps every responsibilities on Him.
The Knowledge Economy tasks the brain, the Religion Economy numbs the brain.
Japan, for example, is a Knowledge Economy. It has no natural resources but it is a prosperous nation, one of the richest on the planet.
At least six of every ten cars on Nigeria's roads today are Japanese cars.
Japan is not a religious country, but it is one of the most corruption-free nations.
China is not a religious country, but nations that ignore China today do so to their own peril.
Nigeria falls under Religion Economy, everything depends on God.
Nigeria is one of the most endowed nations with natural resources on the face of the earth, yet also among the poorest.
Nigeria wears proudly the badge of the "poverty capital of the world" and is one of the most corrupt nations on the face of the earth.
It is also one of the most religious countries on the planet.
It is a nation where everything depends on God, and God watches in disgust as we mortgage our brains.
Even security agencies that are constitutionally funded from budgets look up to God to carry out their duties.
But here is the irony.
The two major religions of the world, Christianity and Islam, emanated from Israel and Saudi Arabia respectively.
But none of those two nations fall under Religion Economy.
None!
One of the evidences of their subscription to Knowledge Economy is the yearly pilgrimages that generate for them revenues in billions of dollars.
But hypocritically stupid nations like Nigeria are comfortable disseminating nuisance to humanity with their glamorization of the Religion Economy.
People elected and empowered to do a job will turn around and ask those who elected them to pray.
God is disgusted with Religion Economy.
There's a reason He gave man brain and instructed him to subdue the earth.
If you're a Christian who does not commit yourself to the pursuit of knowledge your life will become a perfect reflection of Nigeria.
That's a fact!
It is an illusion to anticipate wisdom where people do not pay attention to Knowledge.

When DJ Anyaloko....the journalist interviewing 2Face Idibia asked him why he chose to marry Annie Idibia out of all the women in his life?
He relaxed back on his sit, took a deep breathe in reflection and gently answered her with this:
âYou see, Perro Adeniyi who gave birth to my first son graduated from a top UK University as a medical student and is now a doctor.
She is very beautiful and intelligent from a very wealthy familyâ.
He continued âSandra who gave birth to my other two kids is a dealer in expensive diamond and gold jewelries.
She was already a multi-millionaire when I met her, she owns one of the most expensive houses in Banana Island. Her family too are very well to doâ.
He took another deep breathe and continued âFalilat who gave birth to 2 kids for me is also a very intelligent first class Lawyer.
She has worked on and won many big cases for so many wealthy men and women in this country and abroad, thatâs how she made her money and she Too is very beautiful as wellâ.
Then with a loving gentle smile on his Face he took another deep breathe and said this âBut you see Annie is from an average background like myself, we both started from nothing. She stuck by me through it all.
When there was no car she hopped on bikes, took the bus and trekked with me, when there was no money or house or hit songs or or millions of albums sold or big awards and accolades, when I used to repeat just 3 sets of clothes, she would always hold my head, look into my eyes and tell me things will be fine one day.
When I wasnât handsome, she would call me her Prince Charming, when I wasnât celebrated, she called me her KING and said she is my number one fan and to this day she still is.
Even when I made it big as a musician and started misbehaving and controversies almost destroyed my career, she would go down on her knees and pray to God to show me the way and give me victory over my enemies.
Now if I was still that poor boy struggling to make it like every other young chap on the streets of Lagos, do you think a Doctor, a Lawyer and a multi-millionaire business woman will want to look at me twice or even have my kids?
NO. So to answer your question, I didnât chose who had more to offer me, I chose Annie because she offered me her all when we had very littleâ.

Why I Conceded Defeat
âI was fully informed about the manipulations, intrigues, intimidation and betrayals. The consequences of not conceding were only better imagined. My natural instinct for peace automatically surfaced. I was going to make a decision which reflected my commitment to that ideal. This is the foundation of my essence. In my periodic projections into the future, I did not see how I would be presiding over any kind of chaos. I was prepared to promote the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria.
âThis is a huge sacrifice, but I hope my readers believe me when I say it turned out to be one of the easiest decisions I ever took while in office.
"With my mind made up, I knew it was time to inject peace into the tensed polity, especially before INEC completed collation.
âI was in my living room with some ministers, aides and friends. Among them were the Coordinating Minister for the Economy/Honourable Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN, the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Mr. Osita Chidoka and Waripamowei Dudafa, my Senior Special Assistant on Domestic Affairs..
âThey were recommending sundry alternatives, but I was quiet in the midst of their discussion. I hugged my thoughts, figuring out how to do that which was best for the country. My personal interest was receding rapidly and the interest of Nigeria looming large. I excused myself and left the sitting room. I walked into my study. Even here, my mantra was a strong circle around me, supporting and comforting me. Let the country survive. Let democracy survive. My political ambition is not worth people being âsoaked in bloodâ.
âMore reports flowed in and I could not wait anymore. The announcement of the final result could take issues out of all our hands. It was time for me to take action and bring peace to the nation. I felt I was destined by God at that point in time to inject the peace serum and douse the palpable tension in the country.
âI reached for the telephone and placed a call through the State House operators at about 4:45 pm. A peace I had never felt since my political sojourn, descended on me. It showed me where I had been in the past 16 years and where I was then. I smiled at the thought of what I was about to do. I waited calmly for the person at the other end of my call to answer.
Buhari : âHello Your Excellency!â
Me : Your Excellency, how are you?â
Buhari: âI am alright, Your Excellencyâ
Me: âCongratulations!â
Buhari: âThank you very much Your Excellency âŠâ
âFor several seconds the line was seized by the loudest silence I have ever known. Then we had a brief discussion. I could sense his relief too. He knew what could have been.
"Here is a man who had contested three times and lost. Maybe my gesture humbled him against his expectations because he thanked me and we talked about the handing over processes.
âEverywhere all over Africa, Asia and other parts of the world, countless deaths have been recorded on the scores of elections and power disputes. I mentioned Cote dâIvoire earlier, where people died in their thousands during post-election violence. A similar scenario had unfolded in Kenya. African nations are more prone to post-election violence than other parts of the world.
"Only very few African nations have not experienced post-election violence on a very grand scale or some bitter power tussle fed by tribal or ethnic sentiments.
âI hung up the phone, confident that my decision was right for Nigeria and would probably have a great impact on Africa. This may well be the beginning of a new perspective to power; a perspective which places national interest above personal preference. It should not always be about winning.
âAfter my conversation with Muhammadu Buhari, which lifted my spirit greatly, I felt better and lighter; it was time to break the news to my Ministers and aides. I wandered back into the living room. These are people I came to know after a period of time. I anticipated what their response would be.
âIn my new found calm, I stood before them and told them what I had just done. The elections were over. I had called and congratulated Muhammadu Buhari on his victory. It was time for all of us to move on.
"Stunned silence greeted the room for some time and after they overcame their shock, they all congratulated me.
âMy Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, sought my permission to tweet my phone conversation with Muhammadu Buhari. I obliged and he did. The country was no longer waiting for the declaration of the election results. The nationwide tension automatically dissipated as though a red hot piece of iron had been dipped in a bowl of water.ââ -

A Picture Question and a well detailed text answer.
Life is full of lessons you know. Read to the last.
It is Worth every second of your time.
I donât even have this kind of fine room when my wife said Yes I do over 6 years ago. I wasnât even earning up to 40k then.
I wrote about my wife starting life with me sometime ago when this issue of 50k salary 'ish' came up. Will you marry? Will you not?
My case was worst than that of a man who earns 50k.
Apart the fact that I earn very low amount, I didnât have a stable job.
I was an undergraduate when my wife accepted to spend the rest of her life with me.
I was in 300level when I met her. I had nothing. No support from home or from anyone.
All I was doing was a lot of menial jobs. Driving was one of them. I would transport engine oil from Ilorin to Ibadan, and to Lagos then return.
My take home was 13k. But trust love. When you like someone, you wonât be able to hide it. I asked her hand in marriage. And it was a yes.
Going forward. My salary never got increased but my dreams got bigger.
She saw in me; A man of vision. A man with the big dreams and more so, one who was willing to get dirty in other to be responsible. A man whose future is programmed to be great but needed a push and an encourager.
And every day, she believed every of my dreams i shared with her.
We got married in my final year.
13k was still my fixed pay as I was just rounding up my degree programme. That same money with other income from menial jobs fed us, and we live on.
It is true that where there is a will, there is a way.
My wife remains the engine dropped in me in achieving greater things. She kept dropping ideas and was supportive.
Then we became 3. The arrival of my daughter. Then NYSC came calling It. It got better. We depended on N19,800 NYSC allowee plus N20,000 from my Primary place of assignment.
These period are just few years ago. It wasnât in the 90s or early 2000.
What I did was to prioritized and discipline myself. Not taking anything away from the importance and mightiness of two heads whose hearts are one.
For one will conquer a thousand and two, 10,000. That's the awesomeness of marriage.
And though, I'm still in a process. I am yet to achieve all my dreams but I can also tell you: myself and my wife, we are living in our dreams.
I couldn't gather that same 50k in a month, 6/7 years back but the 'pocket money' I pay her to flex with monthly is way above 50k. That's even if she doesn't ask another one in two days time. âNa her entitlementâ lols.
âWhen a woman rejects a man with a vision and follow a man with a television; she will end up watching the man with a vision on her husband's television." My late brotherâs favorite quote.
Don't judge a man by his pocket but judge him by his vision. Because where a man is going in life is more important than his present condition. Mandela said so.
Nevertheless, it's a choice. We all have our choices to make. It doesnât always turn out this way all the time. And Men who remain faithful after they make it ainât much.
Sharing this isnât to make you go against your choice choosing a life partner. Do whatâs best for you. For no reason should anyone get married to a visionless broke man.
Likewise to the man who is moneyed and without brain..Because he will lose all someday.
