Three archaeological sites. Three very different stories. 🏛️🇬🇷
If history is your thing, Greece gives you plenty to explore — and these three sites are a great place to start.
Akrotiri, Santorini takes you more than 3,500 years back in time, into a Bronze Age settlement preserved under volcanic ash. Walk through its ancient streets and discover buildings, vessels and everyday objects that tell us about the people who lived here before the great eruption.
Ancient Thira tells a much later story. Perched high above the island, the site reveals Santorini’s Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine past — and getting there comes with some pretty spectacular views.
And then there’s the Acropolis of Athens, one of the world’s most recognisable archaeological sites, where temples, myths and the history of ancient Athens come together above the modern city.
Three places. Different periods. Different landscapes.
But one thing in common: the more you understand what you’re looking at, the more interesting it becomes.

One of those places I love taking my guests to — or coming to with my own family. Over and over again!
Ta Dichtia, or The Nets in English, is one of my favorite seaside tavernas in Santorini. You’ll find it in the area of Agios Georgios, along the long black-sand beach, with great fresh fish and seafood and tables overlooking the water.
Simple, local and a place I keep coming back to.

Santorini through my eyes. 💙
The views.
The people.
The little moments.
The places you don’t find on a postcard.
This is the island I love to share.

Meet Kostas 👋
Kostas has been working as a licensed tour guide for over 30 years. Some of the first destinations where he spent his summer seasons guiding were Rhodes and Kos. Today, he divides his time between Santorini and Athens, with Santorini having been his home for the past 20 years.
He is passionate about all things history and archaeology, but his curiosity doesn’t stop when the tour ends. During the winter, you’ll often find him exploring flea markets, collecting old objects and pieces of furniture, and bringing them back to life through restoration.
He also loves to travel. His journeys have taken him from Peru and Mexico to Japan and Vietnam, while his guiding experience extends beyond Greece, including leading groups to winter destinations such as Vienna and Budapest.
A few more things you should know about Kostas: he rarely says no to an Aperol Spritz, and he owns quite a collection of his signature flat caps and straw hats — you’ll rarely see him touring without one. 😄
Fluent in Greek, English and German, Kostas is happily married to his “manager,” Veronika, and is a dad of two.
And then there’s Zoe 🐶 — the family dog and his most loyal co-driver, who is very often along for the ride.
More than three decades of guiding, and still curious about the next place, the next story and the next discovery.

Sometimes a great day in Santorini becomes more than just a tour.
Recently, a guest described their experience with me as:
“Knowledgeable, a great communicator, entertaining, patient and a good soul.”
And then came the part that stayed with me:
“He made it a very memorable day for us. We made a new friend.”
That’s the kind of review that means the most.
Because a private tour is not only about what you see or how much you learn. It’s also about the conversations along the way, the unexpected laughs, the questions, the stories — and sometimes, simply enjoying a day together.
Santorini is a beautiful place to explore. But sharing it with people and creating memories that go beyond the itinerary? That’s the real privilege.
Thank you for the kind words — and for the new friendship. 💙

The road is part of the journey. 🌊📸
One of the best things about a private tour? You don’t have to rush from one stop to the next.
Take the scenic coastal road. Stop when the view deserves a photo. Pull over for a coffee. Discover a little village. Stay longer over lunch by the sea because… why not?
And if you know me, you know I love photography — so there’s always time to stop and capture the people enjoying the journey, not just the views. Some of my favourite tour memories are the photos I take of guests along the way.
That’s the freedom of a Santorini private tour — the itinerary is there, but the day can still breathe.
Sometimes the best moments aren’t the places you planned to visit. They’re the unexpected stops along the way.

The North of Santorini is more than Oia. 💙
Of course, there’s Oia — but keep going.
Discover the elegant caldera views of Imerovigli, wander through the quiet lanes of Firostefani, and take the time to look beyond the famous viewpoints for hidden corners and unexpected perspectives.
The north of Santorini is about knowing where to slow down, when to turn down a little path, and which viewpoints are worth stopping for.
Because sometimes the best views are the ones you weren’t looking for.
Less rushing.
Fewer crowds.
More Santorini.

No two guests explore Santorini the same way. And that’s exactly how it should be.
Some are fascinated by archaeology and could spend hours wandering the streets of Akrotiri.
Others are looking for the perfect glass of Assyrtiko, a quiet winery, or the story behind Santorini’s volcanic vineyards.
Some travel with a camera, chasing light through hidden alleys and dramatic landscapes. Others simply want to discover authentic villages, enjoy a long seaside lunch, and experience the island at a slower pace.
There isn’t one “perfect” itinerary.
There is your itinerary.
A Santorini private tour isn’t about fitting into a schedule—it’s about creating a day that reflects your interests, your curiosity, and your pace. Sometimes that means spending longer at an archaeological site. Sometimes it means taking an unexpected detour because the view is too beautiful to drive past.
The best days are the ones that feel like they couldn’t have happened with anyone else.
