A glimpse into the Mastery Learning in Endoscopy Course – 3rd BEST Indonesia Camp, held on April 14–16, 2026 at Gumaya Tower Hotel, Semarang.
The program brought together 40 fellows and trainees from 12 training centers across Indonesia. Over three days, participants focused on building their basic endoscopy skills through hands-on sessions, interactive discussions, and guidance from experienced mentors.
More than just a course, it was a space to learn, connect, and grow—together shaping the future of gastrointestinal endoscopy in Indonesia.

Kualitas visualisasi mukosa merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam keberhasilan EGD, baik untuk tujuan diagnostik maupun terapeutik. Dalam praktik sehari-hari, keberadaan mukus, busa, dan gelembung udara masih sering menjadi kendala yang dapat mengganggu evaluasi mukosa secara optimal.
Artikel “Efficacy and Safety of Pre-Endoscopy Regimens for Mucosal Visualization During Sedated Esophagogastroduodenoscopy: A Randomized Controlled Trial” yang ditulis oleh Dr. Fauzi Yusuf, Dr. Azzaki Abubakar, dan Dr. Desi Maghfirah, mengevaluasi efektivitas beberapa regimen premedikasi dalam meningkatkan kualitas visualisasi mukosa selama prosedur EGD.
Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan kombinasi simethicone dan N-acetylcysteine berhubungan dengan kualitas visualisasi mukosa yang lebih baik serta durasi prosedur yang lebih singkat, dengan tetap mempertahankan profil keamanan yang baik.

Participants engaged in hands-on practice from their respective centers—refining scope handling, submitting videos, and receiving direct feedback from the faculty. A great start leading up to the main training.
