Terbentuk karena kuatnya jiwa pertemanan dan persaudaraan serta daya imajinasi yang tinggi tgl 10 januari 2005 kami memberanikan diri untuk membentuk satu komunitas yang bernama Street Art Surabaia ( SAS ). Awalnya bukan hanya bergerak di bidang street art saja tetapi karena panggilan jiwa yang mengkususkan kami untuk lebih memperdalam seni tersebut atau yang sering kita dengar dengan sebutan graffiti. Kurangnya dukungan dari orang sekitar tentang aksi kami, tidak mematahkan semangat kami untuk terus berkarya dan selalu berkembang dan tampa henti untuk terus belajar serta bertukar pendapat tentang arti graffiti yang sebenarnya. Karena kami sebagai arek ( sebutan bagi kaum muda Surabaya ) yang aktif dan kreatif, selain mempererat tali pertemanan yang kami rasa seperti saudara sendiri, kami juga ikut berperan aktif dalam pergerakan graffiti di Surabaya pada kususnya dan di Indonesia pada umumnya. Kami mencoba untuk selalu mendekatkan diri pada masyarakat hingga masyarakat memandang seni ini bukan hanya sebagai seni jalanan dan coret-coret belaka, tapi kami coba mengangkat tematik yang berbeda yang terkait dengan budaya Surabaya dan selalu berperan aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan baik komersil maupun sosial. Kami sengajah lebih memperkenalkan jati diri kami beberapa tahun ke belakang di kota sendiri, karena kami menganggap ini bukan komunitas sembarangan dan kami ingin memperkuat brand image serta network / jaringan di kota sendiri baik bagi penikmat graffiti / street art, masyarakat sipil, pengusaha swasta, ataupun para aparatur Negara / institusi yg terkait di birokrat. Karena berkembangnya jaman maka kami memberanikan diri untuk keluar dari kota kami dan beranggapan bahwa kami optimis untuk menjadi
komunitas besar tapi dengan kesederhanaan yang ada dan budaya arek Surabaya. Awal 2005 kami mencoba untuk menyatukan pandangan kita tentang visi dan misi kita ke depan. Visi
membuat hidup dan dunia lebih berwarna dan bergerak dengan kasih. menjadikan kota kami sebagai kota yang indah dengan graffiti
3. membuat komunitas ini abadi sepanjang masa
4. merubah paradikma graffiti sebagai sampah masyarakat menjadi karya seni

dan yang kami lakukan adalah HAH :

3. hanya Tuhan yang tau segalanya.

Tidak hanya di kalangan graffiti saja, kami juga sering bekerja sama dengan para pelaku seni yang lain seperti musik tanpa membeda – bedakan aliran dan gendre musik tersebut, para pelaku seni visual lainnya, insan pariwisata kususnya di Surabaya, para pecinta motor, bahkan para elit politik. Kami juga sering ikut aktif dalam kegiatan sosial lainnya. Kedepan kami berharap kita para pelaku graffiti ataupun yang bersangkutan dapat bergandengan tangan untuk semakin membangun gerakan kreatif muda Indonesia.
