Requirements
You must be at least 3 years in your industry. Either in hairdressing, Barbers, PT instructions or beauty industry. All proof of qualifications must be shown to be able to commence on this course. Learners will need to bring a large folder, pen, paper & highlighters etc. You must have access to a laptop.

Who is this course aimed at/ who should apply to do this course?
VTCT / ITEC – Level 4 Certificate in education and training
This course is open to anyone interested in teaching in Private Colleges, ETB’s and not limited to the Hair, Beauty and Make up Industry. Once you have completed this course you can teach adults in any area in which you already have a professional qualification. This Teaching and Assessing qualification are recognised on the NFC (National Framework of Qualifications) in Ireland.

VTCT / ITEC – Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
You’ll gain the skills needed for collecting and judging evidence of competence whilst helping and guiding students to improve their practical skills, knowledge and understanding. If you are working in a teaching role and need to become an assessor, then this is the perfect course for you.

Course Content

VTCT / ITEC – Level 4 Certificate in education and training
This course leads to qualifications internationally recognised with VTCT / ITEC It is available for all students looking to upskill into the education sector and is available to beauty therapist, alternative therapists, barbers, hair dressers and fitness instructors. Learners must be working for a minimum of 3 years in their chosen industry to avail of this course.

All certificates must be supplied to the college before course commencing to be able to attend this course.

This course allows learners to gain employment in the teaching sector of their chosen industry, in both private collages and community education.

VTCT / ITEC – Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
This is a practical based, intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the working environment. The field of teaching and assessing is always changing

On completion of this add on qualifying in both level 4 and level 3, you will not only have teaching in your area but also adding the assessor’s level 3 award, will make you not only more employable but also when it comes to the exams for your students you will be able to assess them to get them even more ready for their exam day.

You can also be called to assess in other college locations and hire your time out to get their students ready for exam day.

Requirements
This course is suitable for qualified stylists looking to improve and perfect their technique or for graduate stylists as a finishing course. You would need to be cutting on the floor for at least 1 year minimum. All mannequin heads are included as part of your ticket price. You will need your own hairdressing scissors, cutting comb, sectioning clips, Brushes (varied sizes) , a pin tail comb, hairdryer, straightener, wand and a waterspray bottle.
