"Your celebrant will be one of the biggest influences on how your wedding ceremony feels... so choose wisely."

Booking a celebrant isn't just about finding someone who's available on your date.

It's about finding someone you connect with.

Someone who listens.

Someone who understands your vision.

Someone who'll help you feel relaxed, guide you through the process and create a ceremony that genuinely reflects who you are as a couple.

This is one of the most important conversations you'll have while planning your wedding, so don't be afraid to ask plenty of questions.

The right celebrant won't just give you answers... they'll leave you feeling excited, confident and completely at ease.

Because your ceremony deserves more than a script.

It deserves someone who truly gets you.

"If I could give every couple just one piece of advice, it would be this..."

Be present.

After more than 32 years in the wedding industry, I've lost count of the number of couples who have told me afterwards, "The day just flew by."

It's so easy to spend months planning every little detail that, when the day finally arrives, you're still thinking about the next thing instead of soaking up the moment you're in.

Take a deep breath.

Hold your partner's hand for an extra second.

Look around the room.

Take in the faces of the people who came to celebrate with you.

Laugh. Cry. Dance. Pause.

The flowers will fade. The cake will be eaten. The decorations will come down.

But the memories you create by being fully present will stay with you forever.

Your wedding day isn't about everything being perfect...

It's about experiencing every beautiful moment together.

"Want to know the secret to a ceremony your guests will still be talking about years later?"

It's not about spending more money.

It's about making it personal.

Here are a few of my favourite tips:

• Tell your story, not just your timeline.
• Include a meaningful reading or family member.
• Don't be afraid to laugh during your ceremony.
• Consider writing your own vows, even if it's just a few personal lines.
• Choose a celebrant who takes the time to really get to know you.

Your ceremony sets the tone for your entire wedding day.

When it's personal, relaxed and full of heart, it becomes so much more than the part before the reception... it becomes one of the most memorable moments of your lives.

Which tip would you definitely include in your ceremony?

"One small mistake during wedding planning can have a huge impact on your ceremony..."

After more than 32 years in the wedding industry, I've seen the little things that can catch couples out.

The good news? They're all easy to avoid when you know what to look for.

Your ceremony is one of the most important parts of your wedding day, so a little preparation goes a long way in making sure it feels relaxed, personal and completely unforgettable.

If this helps you avoid one wedding planning mistake, then it's worth sharing.

Which tip surprised you the most?

Hello... I'm Rhona, and if you're new here, I thought it was time to properly introduce myself.

I'm the face behind Weddings by Rhona X, a registered Irish wedding celebrant creating ceremonies that are relaxed, personal and completely centred around you.

A little about me...

I'm an Irish Wedding Celebrant creating legal ceremonies, destination weddings, vow renewals and celebrations that feel like you.

I'm a bilingual celebrant, making it easy to include different languages and cultures so everyone feels part of your day.

As a mum of children with additional needs, I'm also passionate about creating special needs-friendly ceremonies where every guest feels welcomed, comfortable and included.

I'm also a family-friendly celebrant, helping children, grandparents and loved ones play a meaningful part in your ceremony if that's important to you.

Whether you're planning a castle wedding, a beach ceremony, a country house celebration or an intimate "just us" wedding, my goal is simple... to create a ceremony your guests will still be talking about on the journey home.

If you're recently engaged, I'd love to hear your story.

CEREMONY TIP FOR THIS HEATWAVE

If you're getting married in this weather, do this one thing for your guests.

A little sun station.

Sunscreen. A few fans. Plenty of cold water.

Pop it beside where they're seated for the ceremony, with a small sign telling them to help themselves.

Because here's what I see as a celebrant.

Guests melting in the sun in a suit they can't take off. Nobody wanting to make a fuss.

And then they're not present for your ceremony. They're just trying to survive it.

A comfortable guest is a happy guest. A happy guest laughs at the funny bits, cries at the good bits, and stays with you the whole way through.

It costs very little. It takes ten minutes to set up.

And your guests will remember that you thought of them.

Small touches. Big difference.
