My name is Rebecca. I am a dental hygienist in Cork. I found some positivity out of lockdown when I was temporary laid off with this page.
I am so passionate about helping people and promoting oral hygiene.
I studied head and neck anatomy and literally whacked my books trying to learn the cranial nerves.
And here one of them is acting up.

Just took a pic of my eye and this came out. It’s so cool!

Literally putting trust in my body that it will do amazing things and will heal but all my independence is gone and I’m basically under house arrest at the moment.
I learned too that the heat and FND do not go hand in hand and have been struggling with v high temps and on antibiotics for pharyngitis. LOVE THAT FOR ME.
But lying in bed watching the curtains move with the wind reminded me to just breathe. The house is fine, the kids are fine, Mark is fine, my family is fine. And in time I will be fine.
Naturally your mind is going to go a bit bananas when your not feeling well but the support from my family and best friends is something else. The support I’m getting from my own patients and even complete strangers is amazing. It’s like an imposter syndrome of receiving love ❤️
