Welcome to some new faces here ❤️ This is not a typical “influencer page” this is me doing me.

My name is Rebecca, I am a registered dental hygienist and have some qualifications in aesthetics too.
I have two little boys, both neurotypical and neurodivergent 💙💙
I am married to Mark from being set up on a blind date many years ago ❤️

My page is all about dental hygiene, motherhood, trying to be girly in this crazy world and general life and chit chat.

Over the summer my page hasn’t been too active especially with school being out.
I had a big project this summer of planning my sisters hen as well as a presentation for

Im looking forward to getting stuck back into sharing on this page, my dms are ALWAYS open for chats, dental issues or rants 🤭

Busy doing a presentation on oral health for Down syndrome Limerick and thought to myself how many of you know the parts of a tooth?

Did you know the tooth had so many parts?

Highly recommend in Kilkenny.

We went with the boys last week and they had a ball! The dinosaurs were very realistic, loads of areas to run around, a HUGE bouncy castle, loads of food areas, different events throughout the day, playgrounds, fairy trails and some small animals like donkeys, chickens etc.

Was a whole day out with loads of fun and very sensory friendly.

This week I’m going to try a new product that was very kindly gifted to me by .club

You get a mould shaped like a gua sha to fill with water and pop in your freezer. The mould then is a frozen gua sha which is brilliant for brightening and depuffing the face.
For anybody getting any aesthetic treatments this would be a great addition to any swelling you may have.

The little lip shaped products are actually a mouth tape that has hyaluronic acid and vitamin E contained. The science behind mouth breathing focuses on promoting nasal breathing which is healthier for your mouth microbiome. - I’ll dive into this more in another post

Having sisters is wild - we grew up dodging each other, copying each other, loving each other and now these two women are my bestest friends.

We had no brothers growing up and now we’re surrounded by 3 little men who have us all wrapped around their little fingers.

Said goodbye to my sister and nephew as she leaves to head back to where she lives, it never gets easier but we made beautiful memories this time and plenty move adventures for the rest of the year

I haven’t posted a Milo process pic in aaaages and to be honest it’s because he’s actually bigger than my toddler now 😂😂😂 weighs about 30kg and is in his rebellious teenager phase.

But we love him 🥰

In honour of world autism day here are a few tips for professionals to help a child or adult seeing you.

1. Take it slow, if all you have is a chat that’s ok
2. Introduce the person to all the smells, lights, noises, fabrics, metals, equipment, gloves etc
3. Trust is huge, don’t trick the patient EVER
4. Ask the guardian/parent or patient what will really upset the person today, sometimes a simple fast movement might.
5. Explain everything to the patient think of “why” after you follow no. 2
6. Maybe turn off the rooms light, radio, autoclave and ask that the room isn’t busy or ask a nurse to stay present to help, whichever you feel is best
7. Don’t stress yourself, you are there to do a job, if it doesn’t work out you can try a different day.
8. Have support in the clinic especially if an appointment went astray and you had an upset patient on your hands
9. If treatment cannot be completed write it all in your notes step by step so you can remember how it went
10. Have the patient return to you so you will be a smiley friendly face on their return.

This is just my little list, we are all human so please don’t judge the patient and please don’t judge yourself ❤️

I had a patient who took 4 visits to even open his mouth and now we’re like best friends he comes in on his own now and chats away (sometimes doesn’t stop 😂)

Be kind and be you ❤️

From celebrating women’s little Christmas, changing my hair back to a rose gold, practising more manifestations, attending a fab day out with my two friends, celebrating m**s bday……… and on the same day gained a new nephew. Baby Mason 💙

February brings a month full of recovery for me and lots of rest.
