Mono Cachemire is the kind of fragrance I keep coming back to. It has that soft, slightly hazy quality that makes you want to wear it when you’re alone, with music playing and nowhere to rush.

Pear, pink berries and aldehydes give it a clean, airy opening, slowly turning softer with jasmine, iris and ambrette. Cedarwood and ambroxan leave a warm, quiet trail — close to the skin, never trying too hard.

And there’s music behind it. Mono Cachemire was created with a musical composition, and L’Orchestre Parfum has a dedicated playlist on their official website.

Raw Gold has that rare kind of warmth that feels almost physical.

Davana opens the fragrance with a slightly boozy, herbal sweetness, softened by the cool, powdery texture of orris and cedarwood. Then the scent turns darker — smooth suede, earthy patchouli and smoky guaiac wood give it a worn-in, almost tactile quality.

The drydown is where it becomes addictive: creamy vanilla, dark Laotian oud and warm Siam benzoin settle close to the skin, leaving behind something rich, resinous and quietly sensual.

It feels like bare skin, soft suede and warm wood — elegant, but with a little danger underneath.

Raw Gold is not a fragrance I’d want to describe from a distance. It makes much more sense on skin.
