I'm going to try and keep this short and sweet guys because I'm not fond of long status updates myself but it has to be done.

After 2 and a half exceptional years, GKB is CLOSING its doors Wednesday the 26th of June. I know this is surprising news to some and maybe not to close clients and friends of my own.

I set a goals for myself 2 and a half years ago and can honestly say Ive completed each and every one of those goals. I went from a small shop by myself working ridiculous hours to a bigger shop with two full time staff members and myself working part time.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm not money driven and if I was I would still be keeping the shop open. This is all a personal choice on my own behalf and I still have alot more I must achieve in my own life before I become too settled.

I'm going to wrap up with a few important thank yous if it weren't for them I would have went mental.

I want to first of all thank Douglas Kavanagh who built both shops nearly by himself with a soft generation of a son and was there at every difficult time. I'd like to thank my land lord Tom Moynihan who has been an absolute gent these past 2 years. Sean Wright and Tim J Crowley who got me through all accountancy needs which have been my least knowledgeable part of this journey. Obviously my two kids Bryan O Donovan and Eric Bobby-Ocean Carlile who always made work.. eh.. exciting? 😂 Anyone who has ever done any small job for me over the past few years thank you 🙏🏻 thanks to Laura Hackett for being my rock over the whole transition period and through every stressful moment and crazy time you got me through. She nearly did everything with my bar cut hair ♥. Thanks Eileen Marie Kavanagh and the rest of my family for supporting me. Ofcourse thanks to all my close friends where sometimes we spent too much time in the shop 😅

I'm happy to be leaving knowing I used the shop as a platform for metal health the past 2 and a half years so thanks to everyone who donated in that time♥

Above all thanks to each and every person who came into the doors of GKB. Don't worry I'm not giving up cutting so I'll fill ye in soon. Love ye all!

This Movember we are working very hard to raise funds for Sorcha McKeowns journey climbing 12 mountains for mental health.

I had this thing I hear people talking about called a holiday. Well needed and now I'm well rested! I want to thank both and for the past week they really proved what trust in people can provide for you! You guys worked your sexy bottoms off x

I also want to thank everyone over the last year and a half. It means so much to me that I can leave the shop and come back and see that it was still busy! Thank you all and I'll see everyone soon as I'm back working normal hours again 🃏
