Mykonos 🇬🇷

We didn’t do too much sightseeing here as were happy to just stroll along the beautiful streets and do some souvenir shopping before heading to the beach for a little while. A very relaxed day 😎
I would recommend the water taxi for heading into the Mykonos town, the price was €2.50 per person each way and even though the boats were busy, we had no issues getting on and getting seats.

The donkey ride was not something I expected to be doing when I woke up this morning 🤪

The breakdown of travelling on a cruise from Ireland, which departs from Ravenna, Italy port ⚓️

We chose to fly into Bologna airport as opposed to Venice as the distance between the port was much closer which suited us better. Venice is a 3 hour drive to Ravenna port.
Our flight arrived at 11pm, we took a 15 minute taxi from the airport to central Bologna and stayed overnight before heading on our prebooked 9am train from Bologna central station to Ravenna which was 1 hour in 15 minutes in total and cost approx €70 return for a family of 4.

Once at Ravenna station, we found the bus transport and booked tickets there instead of jumping in a taxi.

We chose the 12:30pm check in time for our ship but arrived an hour earlier than this and were able to check in smoothly onboard. All cabins were ready by 2pm ensuring a really smooth start to our first family cruise 🚢

We’re so excited to be heading on a cruise next week and I’ve mentioned that we picked up a lot on ahead of this trip so here are some things I bought based on doing my research that I feel would benefit us onboard.
