Our amazing sister Ciara, just 38 years old, is bravely fighting stage 4 melanoma.

Ciara is a devoted mother to three wonderful children, Ceili, Amelia and MJ, who are her whole world. She has always been the most caring and selfless person, working full time as a carer, she spent days looking after others with compassion and kindness and due to her illness, Ciara has had to stop working and now, heartbreakingly, she's the one who needs our care and support.

Despite everything she is facing, Ciara is determined to fight with every bone in her body for her children. Her strength, courage and love for them drive her every single day.

She is currently receiving BRAF treatment and she is facing it with incredible courage and determination. However, as a public patient, there are only so many options available to her through the public healthcare system. To give Ciara the best possible chance, she will need to access further treatments in the private healthcare sector and abroad. These treatments bring hope but also come with overwhelming financial costs.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help Ciara with:

Medical expenses and treatments not covered publicly.

Private healthcare and travel costs for care abroad.

Everyday living costs so she can focus on healing and spending previous time with her kids.

Ciara has always been one of the toughest people we know - strong-willed, stubborn in the best way, and determined to face anything life throws at her. Those same qualities that have carried her through so many challenges are ones we are counting on now as she battles cancer.
