While I keep my page mostly focused on fashion & beauty, today I want to share a little about having a child who's neurodivergent.

April is Autism awareness month. While its great to celebrate it, Autism doesn't end on May 1st. We as a family love to celebrate the small wins & today was one of them. Our son was happy to go and see one of his favourite Disney characters Lightening McQueen.
He was so excited to get up close & personal with the car & his eyes lit up. There was such kindness shown to Corey today by strangers to him. Small things like this can make such a difference.

Families like ours pick our battles. We dont always get to experience what "typical" families do such as day trips, holidays, family celebrations etc..due to various reasons be it over stimulation, sensory overload, or anxiety.
But today was a good day & thats what counts
We are so proud of Corey ✨️💙.

Went to see Qween last night in The Inec Killarney. They were unreal. 🎶

The Sequel Way Farranfore has given our son Thomas an amazing opportunity to work part time in the gym. We are very proud of Thomas as he lives with Autism & a moderate ID. We are very grateful to Ethan & Margaret for a wonderful inclusive gym where those who may need a helping hand are treated the same as everyone else. 💙

We are absolutely delighted to officially welcome Thomas to The Sequel Way team.

Over the last year, Thomas has been part of our Adapted Physical Activity Program, attending our facility twice each week and working through a specialised coaching program focused on improving his physical strength, confidence and overall wellbeing.

When Thomas first started with us, he lacked strength and confidence in many areas. Since then, he has made incredible progress. He has gone from struggling with basic exercises to becoming significantly stronger, more capable and far more confident in himself. The growth we have seen in Thomas, both physically and personally, has been remarkable.

Thomas lives with Autism, Moderate Intellectual Disability, Dyspraxia and Sensory Processing Disorder, and like many individuals with additional needs, social settings and new environments can often feel overwhelming. Over the past year, however, we have seen a massive improvement in his confidence, especially within social situations and group settings. He has grown in self-belief, developed greater independence and continues to show what can happen when someone is supported, encouraged and given the opportunity to thrive.

We are now so proud to have Thomas joining us part-time for a few hours each week, where he will be assisting with our APA program and our ageing classes.

This is a huge milestone and one that means a lot to all of us. At The Sequel Way, we believe in creating opportunities, building confidence and making exercise and community more inclusive for everyone. Thomas is a brilliant example of what progress can look like when consistency, support and belief all come together.

Thomas, we are delighted to have you as part of the team and we cannot wait to see you continue to grow in this new role.
