Two gorgeous reviews came in this week from long-term clients, and they honestly made my birthday week so special. 🥹✨

This summer I’ve reduced my hours to spend more time with my kids while they’re off school. They don’t stay little forever, and these are moments I’ll never get back.

Despite working fewer hours, we’ve remained consistently booked with clients making themselves available to suit our schedule and travelling from all over Ireland to see us, that’s such an honour and that’s all thanks to loyal clients like these who continue to refer their friends and family. To this day, every single review we’ve received has been five stars, and seeing clients return year after year for their colour boosts is such a privilege.

A little bit of science for you! Pigments fade at different rates. The darker carbon black components tend to remain in the skin much longer than the warmer red and yellow tones, which naturally fade more quickly. That’s why maintenance appointments are a normal part of cosmetic tattooing and what makes me especially proud is seeing clients who haven’t needed to come back for several years and still have beautifully healed brows with flattering colour. That reflects the years I’ve dedicated to studying colour theory, pigmentology and healed results—not just how brows look on the day they’re done, but how they’ll look months and years later.

I’ve invested tens and tens and tens of thousands into training, education and perfecting my craft, and I’ll never stop learning. I’m always upskilling because I want to continue giving every client the very best results possible.

I used to be that artist.

Natural realism was the goal here, soft pixelated shading with intentionally minimal hairstrokes to create a result that heals beautifully long term.. genuinely I’m profiling my client from the second they walk through the door assessing under all different types of lighting.

In this case I spaced hairstrokes further apart to prevent the brows from becoming dense, muddy or over-saturated over time. The softness you see isn’t accidental it’s strategic.

Pigment selection is never based solely on hair colour. Every custom mix is created by analysing skin undertones, overtones, skin behaviour, oil levels, circulation and how I predict the pigment will evolve as it heals and ages within the skin.

Warmth is generally added intentionally into the formulation to ensure healed results remain balanced and natural over time.

Cosmetic tattooing isn’t just about how brows look on day one and I couldn’t say that loudly enough.. it’s about understanding pigmentology, colour theory and skin science so results continue to age gracefully years later.

Clients will often say, “My brows are tinted so ignore the colour,” or “I’m changing my hair soon,” and while colour matching is important aesthetically, my priority will always be choosing tones that work harmoniously with your skin first.

Everything I do is with intention from stroke placement to pigment composition because low maintenance, healed results are always the goal.. and every brow is bespoke.. not everybody wants this much depth but most importantly all brows need to look natural up in here # # #

So often I receive DM’s of those interested in beginner training… yet then they sometimes hear the price of training and disappear 👀 so let’s talk about it..

What I can’t understand is how people don’t see tattoo training as a costly investment.

You are tattooing somebody’s FACE.
This isn’t a hobby. This is a detailed skill, a bespoke science, a major responsibility.

You have to invest big to earn big.
Train with the best to become the best.
Experience matters. Education matters. Support matters. Dedication is essential.

Then there’s the matter of time.. if time is what’s holding you back, trust me, I understand.

I started my business with two babies under two. My husband was on an apprenticeship at that time, We had very little, I left a secure job less then 10 mins from home and went completely hell for leather into this industry because I knew I had to make it work.

And that pressure?
Pressure makes diamonds.

This investment changed my life. Not just financially, personally. It changed my family’s life. Our future, It changed the way I show up for people every single day.

Because this industry is so much bigger than cosmetic tattooing.

It’s about the woman lying on your bed during one of the hardest times in her life, trusting you completely. It’s about connection. Confidence. Empathy. Human experience.

You need to be a people person. You need to care. You need to know how to sit with someone on their bad days and make them feel safe.

And the best part of having your own business?
You get to be REAL. Human. Honest. You get to love what you do and pour everything into it, don’t have to plaster on a false agenda to fit into somebody’s vision of you professionally.. You’re your own boss.

So don’t just think about the cost of starting.

I’m so excited for so many artists and students who are going to be there, and I also have some incredible friends in PMU speaking. I’m genuinely sick I’m not going to make it.

To say I’ve had FOMO in my industry lately is an understatement, but I guess that just shows how much I love my career.

There are two big events I can’t get to over the next couple of weeks, and I’m gutted about it 👄 PERMANENT MAKEUP DUBLIN 🇮🇪 will be smashing the .ireland event and the PMU community event swiftly follows. 😫

I was also invited to an amazing event PMUX in Dubai in July at the same time I’ll be judging WULOP VIETNAM

When you’re in an industry like this, you fully go for it and events like this are amazing to learn, thrive and feel full of passion and connection.

You meet incredible masters, which is so important, especially when you can often be in a treatment room on your own. And seeing artists come together from all over the world is insane. I love that we don’t just connect nationally, but on an international level too.
