It was great to attend this weekend's Lord Mayor's Awards and see Eileen McHugh from Hair Together honoured, alongside Susan Moylan from the Stephen Moylan Foundation.
There were many deserving winners, but it was particularly nice to see these two local women recognised for the difference they make in our community.
It was also a full-circle moment. Susan and her family attended the Lord Mayor's Awards in 2019 as guests when I honoured Colin Bell, whose foundation had supported Stephen's family.
It's amazing how people can take a tragedy they have experienced and turn it into a life-changing mission to help others.
