Due to two of our wonderful team members being on maternity leave, we're looking for an experienced stylist to join the Becoming Hair And Scalp family.
(Permanent or maternity cover)

This is a 2–3 day per week position within a busy, established salon with a loyal clientele and a calm, supportive working environment.

If you're passionate about hair, take pride in your work and value creating a welcoming experience for every client, we'd love to hear from you.

**From 1957 to Today – A Lifetime Supporting Louth ❤️

As the excitement builds for another huge weekend for Louth football, we wanted to share the story of one very special lady who visited us here every week at the salon.

Meet lady Maureen McKey, 93 years young.

Back in *1957*, Maureen travelled to Croke Park to watch Louth win the All-Ireland Final. In those days, money wasn't easy to come by, so making the journey was a real occasion and one she has never forgotten.

This week, Maureen brought us one of her most treasured possessions , an original photograph taken in the stands that famous day. Standing outside the salon holding that very photograph, it felt like history had come full circle.

The photo captures hundreds of Louth supporters. Alongside Maureen is her beloved late husband, as well as her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, who have sadly since passed away. It's a remarkable snapshot of a generation, and we're sure there are many familiar faces waiting to be recognised.

Maureen fondly remembers that legendary Louth team, including Frank Lynch, Jim McArdle, Mickey Flood, Jim Meehan, and Alf Monks. In fact, Maureen's cousin went out with Alf Monks , making that unforgettable day even more special for her family.

Now, at 93 years of age, Maureen's passion for sport is as strong as ever. She loves all sport, but her heart has always belonged to LOUTH and DUNDALK FC

With another massive day ahead for the Wee County, we thought it was the perfect time to celebrate one of Louth's lifelong supporters.

When I opened the salon 5 years ago, I was full of excitement for the journey ahead. Just 2 days later, my world changed forever when my mam was diagnosed with cancer. 💔 In those first few months, I juggled learning to run a new business while holding on tight to every precious moment with mam.Sadly, just 5 months later, we had to say goodbye.

Those days were some of the hardest of my life, but they also showed me the true meaning of strength, love, and support. My family, friends, team, and every single client who walked through our doors lifted me up when I needed it the most. You gave me purpose, and you reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

Our 5 year anniversary is not just about celebrating the salon. It’s about honouring my mam, whose love and courage I carry with me every single day 💛, and about thanking every one of you who has supported us through the ups and downs.

From the bottom of my heart, i thank you. For being part of this story, for standing by us, and for helping me turn my dream into something, mam would be so proud of. 💛✨

Here’s to family, to friends and clients, and to the memories we continue to create together. 🥂
