There’s nothing wrong with asking how much treatment costs.
Of course there isn’t.

But I find it genuinely strange how normal it has become to shop around for injectable treatments as though the only variable is the price.
The person treating you is making decisions about your face.
What to treat.
What not to treat.
Which product to use.
How much.
Where to put.
Whether what you’re asking for is actually appropriate in the first place.

I just think “she’s cheaper” is a remarkably flimsy reason to let somebody inject your face.

Chemical peels have a bit of a PR problem.

People hear the word peel and imagine red, raw, shedding skin and a week spent hiding indoors.
But that’s not what every peel looks like!

Different peels work at different depths, use different acids and target different concerns.

The longer I work with acne, the more comfortable I’ve become with two words!! It depends.
Acne is complex, and treating it well often means resisting the urge to oversimplify it. Sometimes we need to treat the skin, sometimes we need to rebuild the barrier before we treat anything, sometimes nutrition or other internal factors deserve a closer look, and sometimes we need to simplify.

I think experience has made me less interested in having an answer for everything, and much more interested in asking better questions.

We’re very good at treating skincare like it’s purely cosmetic.

Something new because someone on the internet said we need it.

But looking after your skin is a little more important than that.

It’s about how you treat it day after day- what you put it through, what you give it, and when you know to leave it alone.

The aesthetic benefits are nice.
But taking care of something that works this hard for you? Probably worth making a priority.
