Now that the climate has changed, it is time to adjust our sails

It is with a grateful heart that I wish to announce the closure of The Park Evening Salon

I would like to thank all my clients; the LGBTQ+, the special-needs, the foreign, the disabled, the neurodiverse, underprivileged, the overprivileged, the downright sassy and of course the ‘normies’ for helping me make the salon a place of inclusion and diversity. Together we have proven that it is indeed possible to blend business with kindness with incredible results that enrich everybody’s lives with equal measure

Ye are all queens and it has been an honour to have been allowed to polish your crowns as you unfurl from your daily lives and show me time and time again that we are all gorgeous and beautiful in our own way with something unique and authentic to bring to the table

I extend my thanks to the guys, who trusted me with their tailoring despite my ability inability to hold down a single conversation about sport

A special thank you to Tracy who came for six weeks work experience and stayed for the best part of a decade

Saving the best until last, I would like to thank Angel, my co-pilot. In my entire 30 year career I have never worked alongside anyone as resilient, kind and professional as my daughter. I am in awe of her loyalty and dedication to this salon and I can humbly say that her contribution has ensured it’s success . I am so incredibly proud to have been able to watch her grow Into the gloriously fierce hairdresser that she is today. She really is an angel

I came into Fermoy as a stranger, probably stranger than most, and today I live in this town with a sense of belonging that I will that will not be taking for granted

My hope is that you will take the spirit of the salon with you and that the friendships forged within these walls will continue long into the future
