I waited for you in Ireland for so long… and after three years, you finally came. You went through the hell of war in Ukraine and you never gave up. You were so strong. A true warrior. A true man.

And then you had another battle to fight — cancer.

You fought so hard. You wanted to live so badly. I know how much pain you were in, but you kept trying, you kept fighting, and you kept believing. You held on to life with everything you had.

But unfortunately, cancer took you away from us…

I am so proud of you, Dad!!!
Proud of your strength, your courage, and your will to live.

I carry all your strength, your love, and everything you gave me into my own life. A part of you will continue to live through me and through the child I carry under my heart.

It hurts… It hurts so much to realize that you didn’t make it to my wedding. But we don’t get to choose when we come into this life, and we don’t get to choose when it is time to leave… Your time came.

I accept it. I understand it.
It just hurts so much…
