Morning all!

This morning I refreshed my skills on hygiene and safety procedures for the salon. Anyone who has visited the salon will know that we ALWAYS use barbicide for all metal implements eg. Tweezers, cuticle nippers.

I am updating our Health and Safety data sheet to add appropriate ppe for when we are back in salon.

Myself and have always had high levels of hygiene standards and we were gloves for everything! So nothing new there!

Can't wait to be back at work. Keeping myself updated with any new beauty courses online.

Knowledge is power, education is key!

I will be intouch closer to July when we know for certain when we can open and bookings will be taken then

After Leos announcement yesterday we have new guidelines to follow.
and myself are in the Pharmacy 9.30am til 6.30pm Monday to Friday and Saturday our usual 9-5p

What a difference 24hours can make. We all have to stand together and help one another during this worrying time.

We have been following procedures guided to us by the everyday since the outbreak of in Ireland. Yesterday in the salon we practised social distancing to the best of our ability. Unfortunately this can not continue as it is impossible to do our full range of beauty treatments while standing a metre away from our clients.

As a result we both have decided as a team to close the salon until we know that it is safe to open again. I am sad today but I know this is for the best and I have been practising all the safety measures and social distancing to help stop the spread of this virus. I have to distance myself from my loved ones and family too. We are all in this together.

Anyone that needs me to help out in anyway if it is go do a grocery shop or pharmacy shop in the locality of Knocknacarra message me. I will help whatever way I can.

To all the healthcare workers and defence forces sending you all love and positivity without your hard work and support we wouldn't be here.

We have always had a strict health and safety policy in the salon. We wear gloves for most our treatments, sterilise our equipment, barbicide all metal implements, no double dip while waxing and we wash our hands before and after each client.

Since the outbreak of covid 19 in Ireland we have been EXTRA vigilant. We are using medical grade alcohol wipes to sanitise every area of the salon before and after clients. Boil washing with dettol all our towels(which we always do regardless) and disposing of any possible contaminated waste.

We are asking all clients to santise or wash their hands before we start any salon treatment. We have hand sanitiser and hand washing facilities available for all clients.

As an extra precaution we are asking when clients are booking if they are feeling unwell or have been in contact with people that potentially have the covid 19 virus or flu symptoms to postpone their treatment. We all have our part to play to help stop the spread of this pandemic. Tissues and bins are available for all clients and remember WASH YOUR HANDS/SANITISE after coughing or blowing your nose.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in trying to prevent the further spread of Covid-19.

Dear Clients,

Please read this carefully.

If you have recently travelled from an area that’s effected by COVID-19 or have been in contact with a person that has COVID-19 please delay your appointment by at least 15 days from your return. We will make another appointment for you after the 15-day period.
We would ask if you've a cough, a cold or sniffle you postpone your appointment for 14 days.

We would ask that all clients follow HSE advised protocols relating to hygiene, symptoms and illness.
