Sarah & Mike’s beautiful ceremony at The Twelve Hotel in Barna.

I had the pleasure of doing Sarah’s makeup that morning, and then later changing hats and conducting their ceremony 🤍 Definitely a first for me, and such a lovely way to be part of their day.

Their ceremony was really personal to them, with some beautiful ceremony enhancements and their family and friends involved throughout.

There’s something very special about getting to know a couple, hearing their story and then standing beside them as they make those promises to each other 🥰

Electric Picnic ✔️

This one has been on my bucket list for a long time, and was something I really wanted to do in my 50th year. And to get to experience it with my two daughters… I genuinely couldn’t have picked two better people to do it with ❤️

I love the glam and I love getting dressed up, but there’s another side of me that is just as happy sleeping in a tent, washing my face in cold water, pulling on the wellies and sludging around in the mud 😂 And I think that’s probably why I loved it so much.

There’s something almost childlike about it. You’re completely back to basics for a few days. Walking everywhere, listening to incredible music, being around so many different people and so much youth and energy.

I really didn’t expect to love it as much as I did.

An average of 30,000 steps a day though… the recovery is REAL 😂 The body is currently in repair mode.

But I did it. And I know it’ll go down as one of my best memories 🧡

I’ve worked with Sarah and her family over the years and they are just the kindest people and always so welcoming.

It was such a relaxed morning. Sarah is super organised, so we just flowed along effortlessly and I loved being part of it.

Also… the lighting 😂 I picked up a workman’s light in our local discount shop, originally for camping, threw it into the car that morning and oh my God… game changer. It picked up the makeup so beautifully. A little accidental hack for my fellow MUAs!

After a week of dresses, heels, makeup and all the buzz of Galway Races, this was exactly what I needed. 🤎🐾

People often think I’m a real social butterfly, and I do love all of that, but I’m actually a bit of a hybrid. I love being around people, getting dressed up and making memories, but I also know I need to disappear for a day afterwards and recharge.

Ruby and I spent the day wandering around Galway with Benson, taking streets we’d never walked before, finding little shops we’d never noticed and just seeing where the day brought us.

It’s funny how those simple days can fill your cup just as much as the big occasions. ✨
