Hey kids! We're having a blast with the Interactive Sea Science Exhibit tours for families and schools. Come on down to our Submarine in the Galway City Museum! Play the Trash Gnasher game, glow like the Phytoplankton (in the dark!) and make your own electricity!

Looking forward to meeting all our new student volunteers at the Galway Lifeboat Station tonight. It should be a great year!

Home Made Carrageen Moss Hand/Face Cream

I just found this recipe in an old Natural Beauty book by Roy Genders: (more later, we promise!)

Soak 1/2 pound of well washed fresh carrageen in a saucepan with 1/2 cup of glycerine (found in your local chemist/pharmacy). After 48 hours, warm it slightly for a few minutes. Cool, strain out the fronds (while still warm). Pour into a jar. You can rub this gently on your hands at night and cover them with old cotton gloves. Awaken to lovely soft hands that can play Seaweed Tag with dolphins. (More later .....
