Reiki was developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist monk, after a profound spiritual experience. He discovered a method of channelling healing energy through the hands to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Usui later established the Usui Reiki Ryoho system, which has since evolved into a widely practiced natural healing modality. Today, Reiki is used globally as a gentle, non-invasive therapy to support overall health and wellness, complementing traditional medical treatments.
